Summary:

Harry is caught snogging and doing other naughty things with someone in the library by Snape. McGonagall decides that Snape should talk to Harry man-on-man - give him the talk. They couldn't have the boy-who-lived making such mistakes.

After initial embarrassment, Harry decides to turn the situation around and take full advantage of it and ask all the embarrassing questions he has

Summary:

Harry grew up in a loving, if a little crazy and bachelor-esque home, with James and Sirius after Lily sacrificed her life to protect him. (James was not home when the attack took place).

Before coming to Hogwarts, Harry discovers that he had actually been adopted by James Potter and that James was actually his step-father. When he finally finds that he is Professor Severus Snape's son, he tries to win over his biological father, who, he finds, pretty much hates him. He is also scared of how Sirius and James will react to his plans, though.

Summary: Snape has kids. Twins. They are one year older than Harry Potter. Snape doesn't know about having children as they are the result of his violent DE years (months). As there are many children orphaned in those years, some of them (when turning 11) got sent not to Hogwarts but to Durmstrang or Beaubatonx. Snape's kids were sent to Durmstrang, which is the reason why Snape had never seen them, until one of the twins asked Snape to take him as an apprentice. Snape obliges (it'll be your choice if Snape recognizes the teenager as his own now or later.)

The boy or girl (up to you!) befriends Potter and Granger (dating one of them, depending on if it is a boy or girl). Potter's relationship with Snape will be through the Snape's kid.

The young Snape will help to defeat Voldemort.

I would appreciate if you left Ron and Draco out of the story.

Summary: While waiting in Dumbledore's office, Snape and Harry are suddenly transported deep inside a series of unending memories with no way out and with no choice but to live untouched or heard inside another time...a time in which Snape is familiar with.

Harry and Snape are transported back to the summer before Snape's 4th year. The year after the Marauders became animagus' and a year before he lost his friendship with Lily. They cannot leave the room that young Severus (of that time-line) is in but have no need for sleep, water or food. They cannot change anything because as far as the people of that time are aware, they don't even exist.

So if they have to be in the same room as 14yr old Severus and there is no way for them to leave (although obviously they don't stay there forever) then it should provide some great entertainment.

Harry can be in 5th year or an AU 4th year.

Requirements:
  • Must be in-character
  • Harry and Snape must have no idea at all how it happened or how to get back
  • Must include at some point an appearance at Spinner's End (a good place to start the story if you like, such as the last few days of summer before starting 4th year. I doubt Snape would want to return there during the Christmas etc, but if you can find a way around it, cool)
  • Must show some similarities between their lives, such as home neglect, lack of present expectations during Christmas etc. and anything else you can think of
  • Must have at least one day in which they are both "crazy" such as arguing more than usual and being a bit irrational. Can be however you like, but they just need to "lose it" for a while
  • Have humor, however please try to include the emotional aspect too, like Harry sympathizing with Snape while the man wishes he hadn't lost Lily etc.
Bonuses:
  • Have Harry endure at least one day in which he answers questions in class etc., but of course no one can hear him. Snape may find this annoying or amusing, either...or both.
  • Snape finding out that Harry recognizes the Slytherin common room (from 2nd year polyjuice potion) and his reactions
  • Obviously the Marauder's pranks are to be shown at some point as well. Either Harry can be really mad about this (remembering the Mudblood memory) or thinks it's funny until he realizes that his father is a real bully and not just getting Snape back for something or whatever. Snape can be shocked by this, thinking Harry would have cheered his father and godfather on.
It is up to you everything else, also if they have their wands/can to magic even though it won't effect the world around them. Also remember that no one can hear them or see them or even feel them etc.. They can't sit in chairs unless the room is empty (apart from young Severus of course) etc. although Harry is welcome to climb a tree or something like that, but you get the drift. A good way to tell the difference between the Snapes is that the one from Harry's time is referred to as "Snape" and the younger as "Severus".

Summary:

Voldemort attacked the Potters when Harry was c. five. Lily and James both survived, but James had been terribly injured - he lost most of his memory, his mind was damaged and he regressed to the state of a five-eight years old child. Lily and Harry are glorified and James ignored by the magical society.

Lily repeatedly refuse to put James to a mental ward at St. Mungo's, however, she can't do everything alone. Some of her friends support her. She hopes that James might recover. Severus is her friend, strongly dislikes James and is one of the few probably capable of finding a cure.

NOTES - things to consider/play with:
  1. Harry knows something happened to his daddy. (Really, he has to.) What does it do to the family?
  2. What caused the change in timelines? Play with fates of Severus, Sirius, Remus, Peter, Dumbledore... You can even have the Weasleys, the Dursleys, the Longbottoms, whoever you like.
  3. Make a simple, realistic story - don't overdo it for forty chapters, but don't make it two either. Don't overdo the drama, but don't forget about it. Don't forget to include some happy moments.
  4. Be extremely careful in your characterization of Lily, Harry, Severus and James and of their relationships. I'm not that great fan of SS/LL, but I can enjoy it when it's well written. However, a story where Lily jumps into Severus's arms the first moment James is gone (disappeared, dead, incapabled) is sick. If you really have to see them together, at least make it believable first.

You should put some work into this. Besides that... good luck!

Summary:

Lily Evans happily married James Potter and had a child with him, called Harry Potter. Severus Snape loved Lily Potter dearly. However, Severus Snape was also a Death Eater and a very selfish man.

James Potter was nearly killed (by Voldemort, Death Eaters? Your choice.) Snape could have easily saved him... but he decided not to. Instead, he let him die - and went to comfort his young beautiful widow.

In a year or two, Severus and Lily legally, but secretly married and together with Harry became a family. Lily later found out what happened with James. She was extremely angry with Severus, but didn't want to endanger his position as a spy - she left him, but they never divorced as it would require too much paperwork. Half year later, Voldemort killed her - and Harry became the Boy who lived at the age of four or five.

Severus, who had grown up to love Harry in his own way, claimed him and Harry grew up with a snarky, sneering and moody but loving father. Hovewer, what would happen when Harry discovers what Severus had done?

Notes: Snape IS on the light side. He was a great bastard and he still isn't a very pleasant man, even though he changed for the better with Lily's and later Harry's influence. He hates the fact that Harry resembles James, but loves Harry nonetheless. Harry loves him back.

Have fun!

Summary: Harry learns that a highly skilled Occlumens may be able to save Sirius from the Veil. Naturally, Harry has no reason to hope that Snape would agree to do such a thing. Instead, Harry asks to be taught Occlumency, which Snape does agree to do.

Summary:

Harry is the son of renowned Potions Master, Severus Snape. As with all father/son relationships, the two have ups and downs. One thing both men share is the same Animagus form, meaning that they are spirit kin.

Here is my challenge:

While playing in their animal forms, Severus must protect his son from a deadly threat. In the process, he ends up captured by Lucius Malfoy and dares not return to human form. Harry is now forced to discover who has kidnapped his father and where the man is being held. All the while, Severus slowly succumbs to his animal form. If Harry doesn't find him soon, there will be nothing left of his father...

    Optional:
  • It must take place between years 1-7 at Hogwarts
  • Their animal forms
  • Draco playing a major role or not. Is his father decent? Is he abusive? Does Draco befriend Severus in his Animagus form?
  • Severus and Harry's Animagi names

Again, these are guidelines and not mandatory rules that need to be followed. Have fun with this challenge. There are hundreds of options and possibilities to take.

Please let me know if you decide to accept this challenge.

Summary: Harry Potter isn't doing well at potions, not well at all, and now Professor Snape must take him in hand. Must contain at least one article of Corporal Punishment (I.E. spanking of a child) the rest of the details are up to you.

Summary: Only one condition: have a scenario where Snape begins his menacing trek to any location, only to feel a tug from behind. His robes aren't billowing behind him. A baby is sitting on them. Harry Potter.
