Summary: Harry feels like no one understands the real him, so he runs away after meeting Ron Weaseley's claims of him being "spoiled with a mansion and loads of house-elves" after an argument they had in the Compartment. Discovering him missing and the abuse he suffered from the Dursleys, Albus sends Severus to find him and show him that someone can relate to him and understand what he's been through. When Harry returns to Hogwarts, he surprises everyone by being in Slytherin, and even moreso, having Severus for a father

Summary: In another of my favorite book series (The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher, if anyone is interested), technology and magic simply do not co-exist very well. In fact, magic has a tendency to foul up technologic devices. While I've seen it briefly in a few fics, I would like to read more where this is addressed. The more responses and variations, the better!
