News Movie Night
Hello everyone! We have decided in the chat to have a movie night. This consists of everyone watching the movies at the same time. We will be watching Sorcerer's Stone on Saturday August the 2nd of at 10pm Eastern time. (9pm Central Time and 7pm Pacific time). We will be in the chat during the movie. Shadow- :P It's hard enough trying to keep timezones in order, (add to the fact my family and friends are in one and I'm in another...) EST looks more fun. Well that's my story anyway, and I'm going to stick to it. :P hehe. Are you going to join us? Maybe it'll scare the creep away.

Ok, so 11:00pm EDT on Aug 2-- I'll try to remember that! I can't be in chat (no computer), but I can still watch the movie! I read the Equus play at same time as Dan's London premiere! Hee! (As for creep... he's still out there. Grrr!)

For me it's Philosopher's Stone too. I'm on EST also. I saw on TV, Sorcerer's Stone once, and was surprised at how different it is from the movie that I have. You have some scenes that I dont' have and vice-versa.

Different SCENES??! Really??!!! I'd always assumed that it was just an alternate title for the SAME film... What about the original books? Are they different, too? MAN! *tries to wrap mind around wild concept* Shoot!-- A few years ago, I saw PS DVD set (used) in store, but it never occurred to me to BUY it, coz I already had SS! Now I'm totally KICKING myself! Arg!!! :-P

btw-- with a 1-hour discrepancy between Standard time & Daylight Saving Time, some people will start watching film an hour earlier than others. If the point is for everyone to be in chat at the SAME point in the film, be advised that 10pm EST (Eastern Standard Time) = 11pm Eastern Daylight (Saving) Time (EDT). Mark my words-- everyone who waits for Standard time to start the film will come into Chatzy an hour LATE! ;-D

*thinks it would simpler to say 10pm Eastern & let it go at that; most people will go by the clock (currently Daylight) & start film & chat at same time*
