Reviews For Muggleville
Severus was overreacting to the whole bouncy house issue; he told Harry to stay off of trampolines..bouncy houses are different (and safe) and Harry couldn't have possibly known that he was 'breaking a rule'. He did ask Hoppity, so Severus cannot say he didn't have permission to play in it. It was actually Severus' fault for not informing Hoppity of the agreement; he should have known that their was a strong possibility that Harry wouldn't remember and should have been far clearer on what he considered dangerous. I think that their household would be far more calm if Severus would realize that Harry is only 6 and treat him more accordingly and more fairly. Author's Response: Hi silverstargirl! Thanks for reading and for your review! :) Yes, I thought the same about Harry not remembering the rules. That's why Hoppity put the rules on the fridge so that they will be able to go over them again, and hopefully Harry will have a better chance at remembering them. I agree that Snape was overreating as well, but he's not meant to be perfect. He is stern, and not overly concerned with the wishes of children. He also probably has some leftover jealousy of Harry, and that may come out occasionally as a flavor of "protecting" Harry sometimes. Maybe one day he will do more things for Harry to make him happy, and not just protect him. I think that you have nice insights about the characters and situations. Hoppity would agree with you a lot about Snape. Maybe she will tell him that again soon. Thanks again for your comments!
I absolutely loved the ending where Snape wanted to check on Harry's foot and then carried him to the kitchen. I could picture it in my head. Cute! He's still softening just ever so slightly with Harry, but still maintaining his sternness, if that makes sense. I saw a few typos, but nothing major. Great job overall, and I always look forward to updates. Author's Response: I like to think that Snape is half reasonable, and half a git. It depends on his means and what is going on. I think that he's starting to see Harry as a child, and not just someone he hates. Snape's sterness is part of his inherent characterization to me. I'm glad that there wasn't anything major wrong. I will try and catch the typos next time I edit the chapter. Thank you for sticking with me, and for all your reviews! I appreciate them a lot! They make me want to keep writing and updating.
Author's Response: Thanks Kim! :) It must have been great to read three chapters at once. Lucky you!
Author's Response: Yes, Snape apparently never played in one when he was a child. I will try and add it in the sequel at some point if I can, only Hogwarts style. Snape went for a walk while Harry and Hoppity were interacting with real people. I don't think that Snape cares for Muggle Americans very much. Especially ones who want him to play sports.
Author's Response: Hi Kim! I am glad that you are still reading! Haha, so Snape is stilll boppable? I think he may just always be that way, but maybe over time Harry will change him. We'll see!
I enjoyed this little chapter, especially the part at the end that shows Harry's trust in Snape. I'm so glad he feels safe with him. That part made me feel all warm and fuzzy :). I have to tell you, I just adored this line: "Harry didn't care, he was getting love and Snape wasn't getting any. So there." I seriously cracked up at that point. Hilarious. You know, usually in a fic like this, the female oc would fall in love with Severus, but I'm glad you said it wouldn't happen because it's really to Harry's benefit to have all of Hoppity's love to himself. It must be nice for him to not have to share the affection of his guardians with others. The one typo I noticed was that you wrote "one sugary snacks." The rest seemed pretty good to me. I'm curious about how much more of this you plan to write; I wonder how much further you are going to have Harry and Snape's relationship go before they have to go back to their normal lives. I'm really quite excited to read the end and what happens when Harry is reaged (not to say that I want this to end any time soon, mind you, as I adore this fic). Will Snape find out how abused Harry was with his aunt and uncle during hte summer months? Will he and Snape get along after all this is over? Will Harry be grateful for all Snape did during the summer? Really, I can't wait to read more (though I know I'll have to, lol; as a slow updater myself, it would be rather hypocritical for me to say anything about this. RL has to take precedence...sadly). I hope you find time to write more soon; thanks for the lovely chapter! -P.G. Author's Response: Thanks P.G.! :) I was happy to update too, but getting reviews like this makes it worth it. Thank you. Yes, it was the plan in the beginning to make Hoppity for Harry. He needs it. Plus, in stories that center on the Gen relationship between Snape and Harry it is difficult to add any secondary romances in and still focus on the two. It's possible, but difficult, and I'm just not that good. :P In any case, this is what the story was meant to be, so that's what it became. I will have to find that typo and fix it. Don't worry, I will guess that there will be at least 50 chapters for this story. After that will be a sequel. :) Snape and Harry's relationship will continue to develop, but slowly. Snape won't really understand everything untill Harry is reaged. They just aren't close enough to have it happen yet, but I could be wrong. The characters may decide that they are and take it away. We'll see. There have been hints of that this weekend from when I reordered the itinerary for the next chapters (yes, I write along a basic itinerary). Part of the problem is the fact that Harry is a small child now, and is on a potion that should cloud his memories. I don't want to make Harry remember things, but maybe Snape will. Harry will be grateful, but we will have to wait and see just how grateful in the sequel. I think that you will be pleasantly surprised. I personally think that the last 10 chapters and the sequel are the real point of the story, they are why I'm writing it, and they are so good. I will try to write more. School is kicking my butt, I would much rather write than do schoolwork but I have to do school work. : Hopefully I will start to write a little every day. That would help a lot. Thank you again for your comments! And thanks for reading still. :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much! :) I will try to continue soon!
Author's Response: Thanks crazychick84! :) I love to see new reviews, so we're all good.
Author's Response: Thank you Angie! I love Spring break! And this chapter was not planned at all, it just came out. Snape's doing, I'm sure. I am thinking of bring back the rules in the sequel, they were really good rules. Thanks for your review! :D
Excellent chapter. I loved Snapes concern over Harry's foot and how he carried him to the kitchen. It was so cute. Thank you for sharing this story! Author's Response: Thank you so much for your review, DaughterOfAres! I am glad that people are still interested and reading this chapter. :) Thank you! |
