Reviews For Savior
PERFECT! Your progression with Severus' reasoning behind why he's helping Harry is very well done, very in character. I'm seriously enjoying the POV as well. It's quite a unique take on this type of story.
"Potter was alone in every sense of the word, alone before his destiny – as every man was in the end – but alone in his every day world and in his childhood as well." --Amazing, so amazingly Snape. Such a volatile statement that is applicable in your story and in canon. One problem, however. An awkwardness of words. "Potter’s father has wronged me and Potter … and Potter has been wronged, wronged by every soul he had reason to trust." --make it had to retain your tense. And since you did not put this in thought form, the "me" is not appropriate here. Also, the idea of using Harry's first name to show growing affection is a tad overused. I look forward to finishing this story, unless I find another error or something that I really enjoy, I will review again when I finish.
Author's Response: Wow, I'm just blown away by those compliments. Thank you so much!
This is a fantastic fic. I have it saved in my bookmarks and am checking for updates weekly. Though, I would like to see some chapters from Harry's point of view too. Other than that -- perfection! You are very talented. Thank you for writing this, and for writing so well. Author's Response: I don't intend to write any chapters from Harry's point of views. It's actually one of my big pet peeves, the frequent POV switches that you see in some fanfics, especially when the author feels the need to label the POV.
Eep. Oh, your Harry tugs at my heartstrings. Every time he cringes, I do too. Severus' POV is engaging, and believable, and frustrating, because of course I realize every misstep about a second and a half before he makes it and by then it's too late. I love the fight between Severus' need to hate Lily and James and everything associated with them, and his need to take care of his Slytherins. Thank you for writing! I can't wait for more. ~ AQZZ Author's Response: Poor Severus, he does make a lot of mistakes with Harry, doesn't he? You'd think someone so smart would do a better job. Thanks for reviewing - hope you like the new chapter.
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm so glad that you think Snape is IC, that means a lot to me.
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing. I think that putting Harry's blood at Privet Drive might fool the wards but isn't likely to fool Dumbledore as he's pretty smart. But Snape won't be letting Harry go back to the Dursleys if he can possibly prevent it at all. |
