It makes sense that the Slytherins went to higher ground, rather than to the dungeons where the threat was. Snape was so awful. How will Harry ever trust him again.
Definitely a better solution than what happened in cannon having the Slytherins sent away from the dungeons where a troll was suppose to have been spotted, way to go. I enjoyed having Harry, Draco and Hermione safe together, with no need to encounter the troll. Severus's mutterings after being mauled by Fluffy were spot on.
Holy crap wtf Severus. Poor Harry and Draco :-(

Oh my... this is powerful. As for the three-headed dog, in the books, it was purchased from a Greek person in a pub that Hagrid frequented; probably either the Hog's Head or the Three Broomsticks. The dog is acctually a mythological creature called Cerberus, from the Greek mythology. It guarded the gates to the realms of the Dead. At one point Heracles (Hercules in Latin) subdued Cerberus by strangling him during one of Heracles' ten labors, but other than that, Cerberus was never bested. Much less by music... Unless it was Orpheus who caused this change to overcome him... Orpheus had been the son of a Muse, I can't recall which one, and had been the best mortal composer and musician alive. He fell in love with a beautiful woman, but she died somehow, and then Orpheus went down to Hades' realm to release her. Obviously Cerberus would let Orpheus by on his way down, as he is only there to guard souls on their way *out*, but when Orpheus got to the thrones of Hades and his Queen Persephone (The myth of which I will not repeat here, for it would make this review as long as a book that recounts all American laws, including the rediculous ones that have to deal with it being illegal to hitch a giraffe to a lamppost [That *is* a real law, as is the fact that it is illegal somewhere to walk accross the street with your shoes untied], and thus would be impractical), he had made the pair of them so grieved by his tale and singing that they released his wife, on the condition that he did not look back at her on the way up from Hades' realm. Cerberus was also affected by Orpheus' music, and didn't attack him as he was going up. Unfortunately, Orpheus did look back, and his wife was whisked back to Hades' realm. I can't remember much else of Orpheus, save that he was killed in some way, I think he committed suicide by throwing himself into the sea, but I'm not sure.
Sorry about the length of the review. The story is good, and it fits with several scenes of child abuse that I have read of.
*cries**heulz**sob* poor little Harry. Tried to help again and became the bad and sour mood from Severus. I understand his want for revenge but Harry just wanted to help in his own small way. I just love how you describe anything because I really cried this chapter(and the others in my school are looking funnily at me). Your talent is just so great. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent and mind as well as your ideas with us readers. I hope that god blesses you and´all your loved ones and the angels will watch over you and yours. Thanks again for every story past, present and future.
Another excellent chapter. I do like how realistice you've made the characters. I'm no sure if you're planning this for the story, however, I do hope that Severus eventually learns that revenge isn't everything. Especially when it turns people into the very thing they despised in the first place.

ooooh! that was harsh but I must say it's perfect! It is exactly what I would have expected out of Severus, I am actually surprise he lasted so long without exploding at poor Harry! I cannot wait for the next part, I am just hanging here!!
Wow, did Severus just blow it big time or what?!!! Not just with Harry, but with Draco as well. He's gonna have a hard time making up for this.
