Reviews For Emrys Snape
I will use this as an example to explain why some people might feel that your portrayal of Snape is out of character. Severus Snape may, in fact, be of the social class that would drive an SUV in Europe nowadays (though I admittely rather doubt SUVs even were fashionable in the UK back then) but, and that is the problem with this, he is highly intelligent and, at other times, gives the impression of not wanting people to notice his working class muggle origins. It seems highly unlikely that he would even own something as muggle as a car at all, yet even more unlikely that he would purchase one that announces to all and sundry that he comes from working class origins, feels inferior because of that and has purchased an unnecessarily large car to bolster his self-esteem. I acknowledge that you might have written this story back when little was known about Snape's origins and general character ... yet I would still advise any aspiring author to go for the more neutral "car" unless they wish to make a deliberate statement with the type of car.
okay, the idea of the fic is good and would be very interesting BUT why on earth is sev acting so COMPLETELY unlike himself???? that is what makes this a story that wont hold a true fans attention for long. this is not a snape and harry story but a story about harry and a stranger you choose to call snape, its not the real snape. not the one from the books
Oh do go on! Very good story so far can wait for the nest chapter. :)
Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing . I'm almost done with Chap. 2 so it will be sometime soon if i dont get distracted from it . |
