Its nice to see Severus trying to do the right thing but any person with even a smidgen of common sense knows you don't leave a two year old unattended EVER... put them in a playpen for a moment yes... just leave them playing on the floor in a house that has never ever been child proofed... NO WAY.
He has the proof in his hands and seen with his own eyes that the boy he thinks is spoiled(although how a two year old who just lost both his parents is suppose to be spoiled is beyond me) is anything but... Let Severus grow up please...

Actually he wouldn't have needed someone to 'accidently' leave the door unlocked. I've heard of two year olds getting out of the house. I worked with a woman who was freaked out one morning when her barely walking child, got outside, and was found crying because she couldn't get back in. I'm not sure what's going through their heads, but if your going to write about a smart child than they might as well be smart enough to find a way out of a house. ;)

For a 2 year old Harry is being great! So many people have no experience with the energy and thoughtless of that age. Thoughtless as in brain not developed enough for much planning or reflection--he's still mostly reacting. Why do so many people forget that babies/children/teenagers don't think the way adults do because they can't??? Nature didn't make them little adults no matter how they look like them!!! Fortunately, Harry hasn't been abused so long that he has stopped being a rather normal baby. Snape has no clue about babies let along abused ones.
