This was refreshing, lovely, intriguing, and brilliantly creative. I thoroughly enjoyed the series. Such a great way to expand the wizarding world and yet it retained all the character beats that made Harry Potter beloved.

Another twist! Darn. At least the whole series is written and I can go on to the next chapter. Thank goodness. I'm on the edge of my seat here.

Wow. That was such a neat chapter. I'm glad that there are other ice dragons now. I had wondered what would happen when sunonice reached his home.

I'm glad Harry finally figured out that Snape was the orca. Though I hadn't thought about his animagus form. He said it was impractical but didn't name it so it hadn't occurred to me. Sun on ice must be over the moon to get the news.

I like the relationship between Harry and Snape. They respect each other but aren't exactly friends. It seems believable considering how badly they got on in the past.

I'm not surprised that Grandmother put a protection spell on Helen. She did arrange the marriage and wanted children to come from it. The scene with Helen and Severus discussing what to do with the Aurors and then Helen 'giving them the boot' were hysterical. Helen is a great foil for Snape's reserved personality.

Yay. Our heroes are all together now. I wonder how Helen found them?

I should have been washing dishes this afternoon, but I read "Taniwha". Then I should have been cleaning my room, but I couldn't tear myself out of reading "Chrysalis". And then I ended almost burning the bottom out of the soup pot when I was making supper because I just couldn't leave the computer long enough to pay attention to the cooking. I just HAD to know how it all would work out.

In these three amazing tales, which I read one after the other today, you've made me weep, laugh, cry, worry, cheer, and marvel over all of the things that happened. This was an incredible interpretation and extrapolation of the Potterverse--and, frankly, one I like much better than the last three books of canon!

I am so glad that I decided to read the earlier fics that were uploaded to this archive. I never would have guessed that such jewels were hidden deep in P&S. Stories like yours are richer than all the galleons in Gringott's!

I just wish that I had gone looking for buried treasure far sooner than I did. I wish they had a way of rating a story higher than 10. You'd have at least a 100 for each part of the Trilogy!

    Blindingly, beautifully, WELL DONE!!!

    Author's Response:

    Hi there

Thanks for the kind review, and I'm glad you enjoyed the stories - sorry to have discombobulated your day like that! ;-)

If you're not tired of my writing style yet (yes, it's rather waffly but I tend to get there in the end!), I've got  another longer (yikes!) story on fanfiction dot net called "the horse".  It's Harry-centric and although Snape is in there and very important to the story, I'm not sure he's obviously a part of the story enough to justify posting it to P&S.

I've also found that some of the older stories still manage to be gems.  It's lovely when you find one, dust it off, and realise that there didn't really need to be a bloodbath at the end of DH.  Whitehound, who is on fanfiction dot net (sorry about writing it out so long, but I'm not sure if I can post links in messages on this site) keeps an updated list of fic that is well-written and generally fleshed out with excellent characterizations.

     Cheers

    Elsa (Elsa2 on fanfiction.net)
