I love seeing Snape smirk and sneer at the beginning of this story, while secretly knowing just how far they will evolve away from that dynamic over the course of your brilliant story.

Beautifully written; I love how you've layered events to lead up to the very worst way Harry's letter could be read (though I expect Snape will be sorry for it by the time the letter's through). I love how you've portrayed the characters and Hermione's correct prediction was very funny.
