I hope they can find that ember and get it surging back to life with full force.
I've lost sight of the number of times I've read this great story through the years. I enjoy it every time. This time, however, is the first time I've consciously noted this seed you have planted: "Actually, he felt like that black energy from the cupboard had wormed its way right down into his injured marrow. "
you're story has managed to suck me in. i'm now hooked. i love the way you've managed this. great job!
WOW, wonder what'll happen next? Looking forward to it :) Your a great writor, keep the good woke up!.

"Severus brought some through the Floo," Remus explained, gesturing to a battered chest of drawers.
Harry wondered how he'd pulled that off.
Funniest thing I have every read. Until I realised that the chest of drawers was already in the room and that Snape hadn't just picked it up from Harry's dorm and somehow managed to hold it while he flooed. And it was still funny even after I realized that.

I love this! :D it's amazing, and well written! :D you captured the characters emotions and feeling very well :D
As Count Floyd of SCTV would've said, "Pretty scary, eh kids?" Yes, it actually is!
Snape is getting so cute. With his worried little self. It's really funny that he and Remus discuss how Harry needs a nap... that's just really funny.
Harry's angry little rant was cute too. I like how he remains strong despite everything that happens. And he knows he's not repressing his own magic.
That was a nice twist to the story with him loosing his magic
