Reviews For A Year Like None Other
"Dad," he said when he'd chased that thought through to the end. "I was just thinking . . . what if I brewed some kind of charmed healing potion, and used a wanded charm to make it really powerful, and we tried using that on your wound after we cut the mark away? It might heal you up well enough that you don't have to go through this again." Snape growled slightly. "It might also seek perfection to the point of banishing my arm into oblivion, you idiot child."
P.S. - Loved ASLNO and while only glancing at AFLNO so as not to give anything away to myself - I'm loving it already through the comments. I love how you portray the characters. My only regret (and this is just my personal quirk) is not enough McGonagal (she's my second favorite after Snape) love that Lady!! And she is a Lady!! Thanks for the hours of enjoyment.
Author's Response: I think you left a comment on my LJ recently -- your handle sounds familiar. I don't remember now for certain, as it's been years since I wrote AYLNO, but I think that this comes up in the fic at some point. Harry offers to try his powers on the Mark and Snape thinks that's uncontrolled, untested magic and Harry could very easily remove his entire arm without meaning to. So they decide that's not an option. If you run across that in the fic, let me know what chapter so I can refresh my memory, too! |
