Wow! What a great start to your story! In the past, I didn't like reading fics where Harry gets sorted into Slytherin. It's stories like yours that made me change my mind :)

It's so sad though. The other students harassing Harry and Snape caring for him only because of his long lost love Lily. I hope it gets better for Harry and Severus starts to see him more for himself.

    I loved this story! Why?

    1 - Protective!Snape (my favorite!!!)
2 - Powerful!Harry (another favorite! Wish we could've seen more of this)
3 - Draco & Hermione - Dramionarry is something I LOVE so I love stories where the 3 of them are friends
4 - Snily (Down with James Potter!!!!!)
5 - The plot takes place in the canon timeline BUT is not a canon regurgitation. I can not tell you how many stories I've read that have taken place 1st-7th year and the fic is a direct copy, plotwise, to the books, including chunks of dialog directly copied from the book into the fic!!! Sure in this story the kids went into the Forbidden Forest and went to the stone in the end BUT what happened in the forest and with the stone played out much differently than in the book. Besides, all the other canon stuff was skipped or just mentioned after the fact (troll in the dungeon, Harry's bucking broom, Harry finding the Mirror of Erised, etc.) I'm not sure what your review naysayers were talking about there in regards to the canon plot. I thought you did a great job with working within the confines of what happened 1st year while developing an interesting and original plot.

If you ever decide to pick up this series again, I would certainly read it!

    Thanks for writing!

This story jumped around a bit too much for me, it just got confusing and it felt like I was trying to read the words on a rubber band that's wrapped up in a ball of rubber bands

Wow, I can tell this is going to be a tough story to read, emotionally, but I'm moving on to the next chapter. Beautifully written!

Excellent story: you plot well, your characterizations are believable, and your choices for behavior are interesting indeed. I don't want to lose what I've written so far by going back to check, but my impression is this story is a year and a half to two years old? That means you're unlikely to go back for corrections. Nevertheless, for future reference, you should know that the informal way of agreeing is commonly spelled "yeah". When you don't add the "h" to the end of "Yea", it's not the word you're looking for. "Yea" is pronounced "Yay", and is a more formal, even Biblical way of saying "yes". The last verse of "O Come All Ye Faithful" begins "Yea, Lord, we greet Thee, born this happy morning..." So just remember to add an "h" to its end to make the informal "yeah", man! (Here endeth the lesson! ;-)

I was glad when it turned out Hermione was still trying to befriend Harry. Now I'm intrigued that Narcissa's story holds more than we ever knew. Carry on!
