I loved this chapter! But boy does Sirius have to lear about watching little kids. You never turn your back on a toddler, they're like the ocean. And though Harry did scare him by wandering off, he overreacted majorly and blaming Harry for wandering off was wrong and so was scaring the poor kid half to death. I think he's also a little jealous of the way Harry wants Sev most of the time and they were right to tell Sirius to either learn control or stop seeing Harry. I'm glad he finally learned control over his emotions at the end of the chapter.

Author's Response: Thank you.  Yes Sirius definately has alot to learn that is for sure.  He is jealous of the fact that Harry seems to always want to be around Sev and not him.  It will come out later on as a big issue.  :)  Yes they gave him the best ultimatium.  Either control yourself or loose all contact with Harry and they would do it too for Harry's safety.  Yes he will rant and rave but will never repeat his mistake ever again.  He learned his lesson.

I really enjoyed this. Sirius has to be careful with shaking a child -shaken baby syndrome should be explained to all three godfathers.

Speaking as a parent, Sirius was out of line for the reason he got angry, but the anger was not out of line. He should have controlled it better but Harry had scared them all. Yes, a child has the memory span of a gnat and you should always have your eye on them. But you never do. Even at 15 months, Harry (since you have being more intelligent than most muggle children) could have told - "don't do that, don't ever do that, you scared all of us" in much more forceful terms than was said. Also, he could have spent two minutes in a chair "being still" and thinking about what he did.

Parents react weirdly when they are scared. When Kris was little, on a couple of occasions, I went from hugging him to giving him some spanks in 5 seconds fast all the time crying and saying "you are all right, etc. - don't ever do that again, (spank)"

Shaking a child violently is abuse due to the chances of injury, yelling is not. What happens when little Harry decides to go outside in a snow storm to see the pretty flakes (even after everyone told him to stay inside).

Other than that, I loved it. Although they could have narrowed the search time by asking the portraits to spread the word about a lost child.

    Author's Response:

You bring up some good points but you have to remember that thesse men have no experience with children yournger than eleven years old.  They are all only children so no yournger siblings that they could have learned from.  These men are  learning how to be parents by trial and error.  Yes Sirius lost his temper and shok Harry.  He made a mistake and was told off about it by the other adults in Harry's life and he lost Harry's trust which would have hurt worse than Remus' punch.

Yes Harry should have been punished for leaving the classroom but after Sirius lost his temper they were more worried about Harry himself then about punishing him for his misdeeds.  Again they are learning and will make plenty of mistakes as all parents do.

As for the portraits I am they did ask for their help but I didn't write it into my story.  ;)

BTW yelling is also be considered abuse.  It is Verbal Abuse.  Although it doesn't leave marks like other abuse does it does effect the child just as much.

Thank you for your honest review I really do appreciate an honest opinions.   i hope you keep reading.

great chapter, i was suprised that sirius would hurt harry at first but i guess he was quite upset at the time! looking forward to more as always :)

Author's Response: Thank you for reading and the review.  Sirius didn't mean to hurt Harry but he lost control and made a mistake.  He is human and we all make mistakes, some we regret more than others.  That was one mistake he will regret for the rest of his life and make sure he doesn't repeat.

great chapter! Sirius was so funny with changing Harry, and that happens a lot with boys, I know cause I have 7 nephews! I loved the poem Sev read at the funeral it was beautiful and little Harry is too cute. They were clever when it came to switching "nap time" for "rest time" That way they didn't have a fight on their hands. I hope Harry isn't too scared of the students. Update soon!

Author's Response: Thank you!  Yes it does happen alot with boys but never to me i was too clever.  The poem was sent me by a friend when my Dad passed away five and a half years ago.  I love that poem.  Harry is modelled after my nephew when he was that age.  He was a cutie. He is now married to a great woman.  More adventures for the gang when the students return.  Will update soon.

This chapter was so emotional...love the part when Harry climbed on Sev's lap I think it really showed how close Harry and Sev were - yes Harry mentioned it a few times but this simple action showed in a real way that Harry looked to Sev as a “Dad” and I think that more than anything at that point would have convinced the others including Sev. Happy that Sirius came around and realised how important all three of them especially Sev were to Harry.
Little Harry is too cute and loved the toys that big Harry transfigured for him. Sev could sing a lullaby to me anytime LOL.
Harry’s death was very emotional and even though they knew “him” only a short time I know each one of those present will remember him forever and consider him a person different from little Harry. There should be a funeral for James and Lily soon and it would be appropriate for those who were there to “bury” Harry along with his parents (I know there is no body but the memory of him)

Author's Response: It was very emotional for me to write as well.  I agree that Sev can sing to me anytime.  LOL  Yes next is James and Lily's funerals and Harry and his Godfathers getting settled.
