Nice story. I liked that Sirius apologized to Severus.
I absolutely loved this and I'm surprised I didn't find this sooner!
I love this one-shot!
It has always upset me that in HP canon, Sirius NEVER took responsibility for his actions against Severus that night in Sixth Year. He is remarkably sociopathic in a lot of ways: very self-centered and mono-focused; an inability to empathize with other people--to put himself in the other person's place--and no true sense of right and wrong.
I truly don't think that it ever crossed his mind that he was turning his friend into a murderer and giving Remus a death sentence. He'd have been upset if Remus had been executed, but I truly doubt that he would have recognized, much less admitted, his own culpability had Snaped died that night.
And his excuse "We were 16 and stupid" made me so mad.
Er, sorry about the rant. *sheepish grin*
Thank you for writing this. It would have been nice if Sirius had done this in canon. Thank goodness for excellent fanfic authors like yourself, so that we can see the scenes that we wished had happened in the books.
Well done!
awwwww i loved this and yeah there is defintly some slytherin in harry there is no doubt about it

I don't know if I need a tissue or not, yes, I do! (Wail) That was great, I really liked it. Great idea to do a one shot for the 100th reviewer!
While Sirius went to Azkaban for a crime he didn't commit he is not entirely innocent he has committed many crimes as a schoolboy that were not just naughty pranks but one at least that could have resulted in some jail time – faith it seems has brought balance in the scales of justice. His apology while forced seems to bring about some peace which is good.
