I ignored your warning to not read this last chapter until I read Growing Pains, but I have to say it makes me want to read Growing Pains badly now, lol.

This story is verrry cute! I absolutely adore these storylines and I know I will be pleased with more of your works!

Author's Response: Aww how sweet! GP is a very funny story, a bit more lighthearted than NA or WSG, though it does have its dark moments too.  There is also Harry Potter Dogsitter, another amusing little story which is a cross between HP and Marley and Me, since I love dogs.  And then there's the small Mother's Day one-shot and Severus's Christmas Wish too. Thanks for reviewing!

You're making another story in the Never Again Series? Yey that would be awesome. Keep up the good work with your stories and I hope you make the future story ASAP. :) Well after you're done with Shadows that is. :)

Author's Response: I am, I have a really great idea for one and will probably start scribbling notes for it soon!  Once Shadows is done that is.

I'm glad you wrote this story, since it was mentioned a lot in Never Again. I feel sorry for five year old Harry though, but he did deserve it. :)

Author's Response: He certainly did, and I felt that it deserved some elaboration, and it was fun to write too!

This story was funny and eventful :)

I remember the reference of this little episode of Harry's in one of your other stories, but there were some surprises! Those kids Harry was hanging out with sounded like naughtily little brats, I bet they won’t try something like that again though.

Poor Sirius, I can totally relate with him on his fear of needles! *shudders* I'm glad Harry could help him to calm down, but it sure was funny :D

Little Eileen is so cute! ^_^ The interaction between her and Harry is precious! I'm glad you threw that part in there for the ending and look forward to reading more of her in your future stories.

Another great story, I'll be reading and reviewing 'Harry Potter and the Monster under the bed' soon as I can!

Author's Response: Yes, it was in Never Again when that incident was mentioned, I decided to expand upon it here. Those kids certainly were brats and poor Harry got led down the garden path by them. I don't think they'll be trying anything like that either, not after their parents get through with them. rnrnMy sister and a Marine sergeant friend of hers have the same fear of needles Sirius does, that's who his reaction is based on.rnrnEileen will be featured a lot more in the sequel to Growing Pains and I might give her a small one-shot of her own along with her brother and Severus when she's about a year old as well. rnrnI'm glad you liked these two stories.

Interesting story. Your imagination is wonderful. I liked Harry in this; I usually have enjoyed all your Harry characterizations. I don't agree with Harry joking around about the spanking and especially not actually having spanked her once. That is a bit odd to me for siblings to do.

I'm still not quite so sure about scared of needles, Sirius but I can appreciate that you've chosen characterizations for your characters and stuck to them, even if I don't agree with them.

Thanks for sharing. There's a couple spots in here that need a once over for mistakes. But of course, I know your utput is very speedy so that's to be expected. Thanks for sharing.

    Author's Response:

That joke is sort of an inside one between me and my very older siblings, some of whom could have been my mother, my eldest is 17 years older than me and practically raised me when I was little, since my mom was too sick to do so and dad was working.  So I don't find it strange to have an elder sibling discpline a younger one on occasion.  The rule in my house when my sisters or brother babysat was that they were in charge and you were to respect their authority like you would a parent's and if not they were allowed to punish you like a parent would.  Nine times out of ten, they didn't need to exercise that authority, but it was understood that if circumstances warrented . . .As for Sirius, some of his personality is based upon a real life soldier friend of mine, who served in Iraq and who could scare the spit from you with a look, never mind a gun, but who is absolutely petrified of needles, ever since he was a little kid and had a terrible experince with them.  This is a guy who was shot at, and lived for months in a hellhole, but who cannot for the life of him see a hypodermic without shaking like a leaf and who needed tranquillizers before getting immunizations before being sent overseas.  You never know to look at him, but there you are.

Yes, I need to proofread this again, I haven't been able to do that as much as I'd like due to RL.  Thanks for the review!

Good beginning to a story. Harry seems appropriate for his age...his characterization that is. Severus, for the picture you've painted for him in your other story, is in his own characterization as well. I admit that I do not prefer your take on either Remus or Sirius. I can't reallly see Sirius being afraid of needles, and Remus seems to lack a little depth, but that may be because nothing really out of the ordinary is happening at the moment. Sirius is much too macho in canon. And I feel sort of like I'm in a strange reality with Severus being friends with the Marauders as I'm not certain it was explained to my satisfaction in your original in this series. I'll have to go re-read it. Again, I like the premise of the story. I enjoy your mischievous Harry.

    Author's Response:

Thanks.  If sometimes the characters seem a little odd, please remember this is a VERY AU universe, where everything turned out differently than in the books.  In this reality, James, remus, & Sirius were never enemies with Severus in school, despite being from different Houses.  They were all friends with Lily and with Severus.  They all fought against Voldemort in their own way, Severus invented the potion which inhibited Voldy's magic, which allowed James, Sirius & Remus (Aurors) to kill him BEFORE he ever attacked Harry, so Harry was never the Boy Who Lived here, just a wizard child, albeit a very strong one.  James lost his life in the attempt however, which is how eventually Sev ends up marrying Lily and adopting Harry as his son.  (That is all detailed in WSG).

Severus main problem here is not the Dark Lord, but his awful childhood with Tobias, which is also explained in Never Again.  He was never a spy, never a Death eater, and so he is not the bitter and angry man he is in canon.  yes he is still sarcastic and he has a temper and is strict, but he is also much kinder and very wounded in spirit, though he tries to hide it.  His profession as a Potions Master Healer brings out a very caring side of him, and so does his adoption of Harry.  His friendship with Lupin, Sirius, and james has also helped him. they are a support network.

As for Sirius being afraid of needles, well I've known guys who are soldiers and others who are very macho go all to pieces when faced with a shot.  Everyone has their Achilles heel, and I figured this could be Sirius's.  For Remus it's his werewolf curse, for Sev it's his temper and his childhood trauma.  James's was his obsession with killing Voldemort and being a hero.  They are all flawed and that's how I present them in this series.

Hope I've cleared things up for you a little.
