Reviews For An Uncertain Future
Write on! Author's Response: Thank you so much.
"They didn't just...date Ginny. They were...uh... lovers," Harry stated bluntly. And then Harry pulls her into his arms, “I want to be your lover Ginny.” Nice line, and a very Harry way of expressing such a sentiment. “Again, desire overwhelmed him, and it took an enormous amount of self control to dampen his amourous inclinations. It's Fred's funeral, a little voice in his head told him firmly.” Not to mention that Ginny is only 16 and underaged, while he is of age now. Maybe he should look take a quick peek at the laws and ask Ginny what she's okay with doing before acting of these inclinations. Shouldn't all of the Weasleys be mourning Fred? Snape and Lily, Ginny and Harry. I've heard that people often choose spouses that look like their parents, but I've never seen such a blatantly obvious choice. :)
Dumbledore's still smoothing everything over and trying to take care of things, even though he's been dead for the better part of a year. At least everyone still follows his commands and obeys him as if he were a flesh and blood person. Just because Snape is cleared of all charges doesn't mean he'll be treated as such, especially by all the students that suffered under his reign as headmaster and all the people who lost loved ones to You-Know-Who. We still have problems with people today trying to stir up the past and have people punished for things that their families have done in WWII and such. “Because of course, you know what a demonstrative person I am”, what a nice thing for Snape to say so sarcastically. :) Great chapter once again!
Yes...Albus Dumbledore had placed his prodigy in harm's way more often than Severus cared to count. Got it in one Snape! :) A bit of constructive criticism: I felt that some of the italics in the characters speech became a bit gratuitous here, before you had a really well balanced out sense of emphasis on their words, here it was a bit over the top. Uh oh, McGonagall's here. But she heard what he said, so I'm not that concerned, although I look forward to seeing your take on their relationship. :) Another great chapter. Author's Response: Thank you.
Yeah, this was my first story, and I did go a little overboard with the italics. As you see, I did cut back drastically as the story progressed.
Latin spellwork class? That sounds awesome! I wonder, if most spells are in Latin, did Roman wizards have to watch what they said, lest they cast a spell? Also...there are some other items that might be a bit difficult to obtain," Hermione said with concern. It's a horcrux, I hope these other items don't force Harry to choose between his father and last link to his mother, and another person's life. Ron seems really juvenile at the beginning of this chapter, and I'd have thought that the Weasleys would still be dealing with the ramifications of Fred's death, and thus, Ron would be able to relate to wanting the dead to return. If Harry could heal the cut on his arm instantly with his wand, then why didn't he do that to the snake bite on Snape's neck? I assume that Nagini must have some type of poison in her fangs that prevents the easy closing of the wound. Typical Snape, returns from the death and begins his second chance at life by yelling at Harry. :)
Dumbledore was so awful to Harry, and it was nice to see both of them admit it, and not shy away from the discussion as often happens in other stories. Great work having Dumbledore take responsibility for his actions. I loved this line, "Dumbledore had known that one day he would have to answer to Harry, and today was judgment day...",it really summed up the scene for me and was so clear and striking. Great first chapter, I'm looking forward to the next one. Author's Response: Thanks so much. Yeah, Dumbledore knew that he'd used Harry as a tool, but he was also caught in a no-win situation. I won't reveal just yet too much about how Snape made his Horcrux. That will be explained later. Thanks for reading!
I loved all the scenes with Harry and Severus, and how close they are now. And what a way to end! What a terrible cliffhanger! It sounds like Harry and Severus are going to have to deal with a very clever enemy. I hope Ginny is all right! Author's Response: Thank you Kristeh. Yes, getting along with Lucius will be very challenging indeed. Severus and Harry are getting along much better in general. They still have a few issues to iron out, but they are becoming closer and closer.
Yeah, sorry about the cliffie! LOL A very clever enemy definitely. Yes, poor Ginny. This new enemy had better not lay a finger on Ginny, or he'll have Harry to answer to.
Author's Response: LOL. Yeah, Harry certainly has been involved in enough escapades for Severus to tell hours of stories to his grandchildren. I'll try to update soon. Yeah, poor Ginny!
Author's Response: OOops...sorry about that! Happy New Year and thanks for reviewing.
Author's Response: Thank you, and Happy New Year to you too. I'll try not to leave you hanging too long! LOL |
