In some states it's illegal to leave a child alone until age 10, which Harry would not have known, but even he was left with Mrs. Figg instead of being left alone. Thirteen is probably an average starting age for female babysitters. Not to be sexist, but a 13 year old boy is unlikely to be as mature as a 13 year old girl, so this story is probably realistic. A good public service message.

I just read this story over the course of about a week to a week and a half and I really enjoyed it. To put it bluntly, I really love all your writing, especially your original characters because they're developed so well. I love Aria's shape-slipper ability (it's very original) and I think her backstory has amazing detail. I also love Rosie because honestly, even though the baying can get annoying occasionally, who doesn't love beagles? Can't wait for an update!
