    I like this story.
But if Harry was a squib, how did he manage to get out of Ollivanders without anyone knowing that? Wands only react to magic?

What a lovely story! I can easily see how it might have accidently turned into a saga, but this version of it is absolutely perfect! Good for Severus, good for Harry and good for Hermione! This story idea is so refreshing - the main characters taking an active step away from the prejudices and various ridiculousness of Wizarding Briatin's society and the way you've done it is wonderfully executed.

The lines - “I think,” Hermione said dryly, “that children haunt his nightmares rather than the other way around - and - his who-knows-whose-side-he’s-really-on-but-at-least-he-tells-us-stuff spy - were just so acurate and funny because of that! I would dearly love to know what happened with the salamander, the manticore, and the hippogriff that brought about Voldy's demise... but I am quite content with amusing myself visualising various scenarios!

Oh, and the fact that the Muggle government ended up demanding a ridiculous amount of money was a nice touch... and completely what what happen if this had been the case (!) Did you mean to put 'pounds' instead of tax-payer 'dollars'? Yay for the dare-devil Potters! I'm going to go and re-read now!

Loved it, loved it, loved it.

Frak the wizarding world. Severus should have taken Harry away in cannon too.

This was a very good story. Sad ending for the British wizarding world, of course, but happy for Severus and Harry and Hermione and their descendents.

Wow! That was just... wow! When I started reading I was expexting something pretty ordinary, but this was NOT ordinary in any sense! Quick and cruel like a doctor's knife... Good. Thank you.

What an awesome story! I loved how you made Severus the only one willing to do something about Harry's lack of magic and how he protected Harry from all the hate mail. That was wonderful, and yes, I really feel that would have been the case, given how hidebound and just plain DUMB people are.

Hermione was right, the wizarding world was full of prejudice--what was sad was that no one in power DID anything to change it. They just watched . . .and totally wrecked their chances by turning on poor Harry. I was so glad when Severus took Harry and left, it was what he needed to do for both of them. Tell everyone to go to hell and be done with it.

They deserved to have a happy family life and I was smiling when Severus was watching Alice on the swing and then catching her. Aww! He really is just a marshmallow deep down. especially with those he cares about.

    Loved the ending too!

Aw, that was so sweet. Grandpa Severus. Hey, did Harry end up really being Severus' son? You made some sort of reference to it, I think. Not sure if I misunderstood.

Hard to imagine Harry without magic, but you wrote so believably and I love that Severus didn't care that Harry wasn't magical, nor if his grand-daughter had turned out to be a squib as well.

I'd like to read more from you Bil! That was great. :)
