Ugh, I just love this story. And I really, really hope your continuation fic is coming along well. I have to know what happens after this fateful day. I just love this version of Severus; not fluffy but still obviously loves Harry, whether or not he's his son. I just adored his yelling match with James. I love James in this as well. You have such a way with your characters. I love that none of them are perfect; they all have their baggage. It just makes them all the more real. I feel so badly for Harry and for James. And yep, for Severus as well. What a hard situation you have made for them. But it's delicious to read. I really, really want more, so get writing and get posting, now that this story is all uploaded. Thanks so much for writing this story.

Author's Response: Thank you!  Common wisdom seems to hold that betas are biased in favor of the fics they betaed for, but I shan't complain!  You helped make the thing actually work after all.  I'm so horrible, I know, but the current continuation is actually a prequel, but since I have plans for a total of six stories in this universe, three of which are sequels to this, I guess you don't have to abandon all hope.  *blushes* I'm glad you like the way I did everybody.  I have this troubling need to throw people together in fic and watch them fight.
