Reviews For Suffering
So, one more heartache for Harry and Al to have to live with. This story is just so sad. But at least I haven't given up on it, even though I don't need the angst in my life. Lesley~ Author's Response: Lily is rather nasty and unforgiving, but I sort of view it as her way of dealing with the problem. There's a bit more to her story as well, which will come up fairly soon in the story. I'm very glad you read this Lesley because you've brought a few things to my attention in your reviews that I hadn't thought about. Thanks for sticking with it! -P.G.
And Lily? Is this Al's sister Lily? And Po and Sagi are her kids? If she is Harry's daughter, has she too deserted HArry because she blames him for her mother and brother's deaths? So sad if this is the case. I take it that the ranting patient who was so horrible to Harry was Ron. Therefore, I take it that Hermione too is dead. And the DE...it must be Snape. What happened to the nose? This is excellent, PG. I am just glad that these later chapters are a bit easier to read...not as much misery. Lesley~ Author's Response: I'm glad you liked my George scene--it's one of my favorites here and I thought we really needed a break from all of the tension (well, it's sort of a break anyway...). It is Al's sister Lily, as I'm sure you discovered in chapter four. Po and Sagi are her kids and she does blame poor Harry for the incident, which is quite sad. Hermione is actually not dead; hopefully, that will brighten this story a bit for you. I do have a bit of a story for her and she may or may not make an appearance in a later chapter. The nose will be explained in chapter 6. :D Thanks for reading! -P.G.
So, the family were killed by DEs. I'll say it again. *sigh* Poor HArry. Lesley Author's Response: So, I can't really say too much when it comes to questions because I don't want to give my plot away when I answer reviews. I will mention that you are one of the only reviewers who have commented on the nose bit. I'm glad you noticed. Thanks for reading! -P.G.
Don't know if I will be able to keep reading because I see even more misery on the horizon, what with the story being called 'Suffering' and all. Doesn't sound as if there is a chance of a reprieve for poor HArry. Hasn't the poor guy suffered enough? You must have depressed yourself writing this chapter. I so hope it gets a bit happier. Very well written, though, PG. The subject matter is the problem for me. Still, I will see what chapter 2 is like. Lesley~ Author's Response: Hi Lesley, thanks for reading! I'm glad you were able to hang in there and read the five chapters I've gotten out. I'm sorry if made you depressed with it; it is a hard topic to write, and really, Harry has suffered enough in his life. However, this was my topic for the Challenge Fest and I wanted to make the most out of it. I personally, as the author, see it more as a mystery than a tragedy, but that's because I've spent most of my time thinking about when I want to be sneaky in the text. It really is a tragedy though, but I hope you can find some sort of enjoyment in it nonetheless. -P.G.
And will Harry talk to him eventually? Author's Response: Hey, thanks for reading! Everyone's sort of in a bad way at this point, which is not fun for them at all. I can't answer the questions about Sev, but I will tell you that Harry and Sev will finally meet in the next chapter! Stay tuned and thanks for supporting my writing! -P.G.
You have such a way with words PG, and such a way describing emotions. Where ARE those damned tissues? Author's Response: Thanks Pandora; I'm so glad you're enjoying it. The meeting that you (and probably all of the other readers) have been waiting for is in the next chapter, so stay tuned! You always give me such nice compliments and make feel good about my writing--thanks for that. I really appreciate the support! -P.G.
Nice hint with the portrait! I liked it! Mila Author's Response: Lol, I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for reading, Mila! -P.G.
Author's Response: **My lips are sealed** Thanks for reading! -P.G.
I really admire Albus. He seems like such a strong and compassionate person. I hate for Severus to be in such pain, and I hope he'll have an easy passing (if that is indeed what is going to happen), but that everything will be resolved first. Looking forward to the next chapter! Author's Response: Hi Kristeh, thanks for reading! It's really sad that everything seem to be crumbling around Harry; I mean, the poor guy has really been through enough terrible things in his life already. I'm really glad you liked my Albus; I'm so glad I did it from his p.o.v. because he has a very interesting take on everything going on around him. He is a nice guy and I really think that's how he would have turned out if J.K. was to write more about him. I can't say anything about Severus without giving stuff away, but thanks again for supporting my writing! I'm glad you've enjoyed reading this. -P.G.
Very well done. Wow. *iz in awe of you* Author's Response: Thank you so much for your lovely compliments, Cathy! I think this might be the most tragic thing I've ever written, so it's good to know that I've been able to affect people with this story. Thanks for reading! -P.G. |
