Reviews For Sparks Will Fly
Great chapter. ^^ Author's Response: Aw, pateience my dear DP, patience.. LOL! Thanks for reading.
Last chapter I forgot to mention that the little picture snake said something about "oh, well, you got Gryffindor from one parnet," or something like that, so...something's going on there I think... Oh! I wish I had more time to read this morning, but I have class! DX I'll have to read later. This is very good, and I give you a lemondrop! :) Author's Response: Oh, thanks for the lemondrop!!
Yeah, the Aurors are closing in on Sirius. Yeah, Fang wanted to play with Sirius I think, but Sirius is not taking a chance. Yeah. that was a very cryptic message from the snake, wasn't it?
Now, go to class! Talk to you later and thanks for reviewing.
Author's Response: Harry escaped by the seat of his pants, didn't he? LOL! Yeah, Harry was experiencing his fears about Snape and that the man would abuse himn, just like his uncle had, and it manifested itself in Harry's dreams. It's just really all Harry projecting his fears into his nightmares. Yeah, let's not let Snape know that he is being paternal!
I always loved the idea of Harry, with his face pressed up into Hagrid's broad chest. Hagrid is such a softy and cares very much about Harry.
Yeah, Sirius, or "Padfoot" is one smart Canine! Snape is going to make sure that Harry stays out of trouble and Snape's way of doing that, is by keeping him occupied.
I don't know why, but the image of a part dragon, and part porcupine just popped into my head. It is something like Hagrid would own, isn't it? He would think that something so dangerous is cute, wouldn't he?
Harry has no sense of preservation, does he? He should remember that Snape has the hearing of a bat, as well as looking like one.. Yeah naughty Harry.
I am so glad that Harry was prevented from leaving Snape's quarters and getting into even more trouble than he has already been in. Severus does not know about the existence of the invisibility cloak then? I was surprised that Harry did manage to get back into bed after hiding his cloak, and looked unruffled and did not sound breathless before Sev got to the bedroom. Anywy, lucky for Harry. I love the way Sev keeps on looking at the innocently sleeping boy and feeling sorry for and less antagonistic towards Harry. Poor Harry is having some truly creepy dreams. Snape turning into a vampire! A vampire bat, perhaps. I was a bit sorry to see Severus talk disdainfully about Harry's obviously second-hand wardrobe and embarrass him like that. He has to know that the clothes are second hand and that HArry really has no control over his wardrobe. He also knows what the Dursleys are like. So, Padfoot is still lurking around, huh? I don't suppose Sirius is going anywhere though, particularly if he knows that Snape is having a hand in his godson's protection. And the will has been found! Yay!. Now we're cooking with gas! But if the Aurors take it to the ministry, it could be years before it sees the light of day again. LOL. Perhaps the box won't open for any but severus, though how will anyone realise that if that is the case? If it was written on the box, the aurors would ahve seen the instruction. Lesley~ Author's Response: Oh don't worry about it Lesley. I'm just so excited that we're going to be reading SD soon! :) I think that Severus was so consumed with hatred over Sirius, and concern over Harry (Don't tell him that I told you that!) that he didn't notice that Harry's breathing wasn't as calm as it should have been. No, Snape doesn't know about the invisibility cloak. Thank goodness for Harry! Yeah, I think that both Harry and Severus are battling their own pre-conceptions about each other, and neither is willing to admit that their opinion of each other is slowly changing. Neither really wants to give up their hatred totally, despite learning a different side to each other's characters. Yeah, Snape is still somewhat of a bastard, and that won't change anytime soon, but he changing his view of Harry, but he'd never admit it, so he is trying to hide it by being nasty. It's just not easy for Severus to change, nor to show his feelings I think that he is so used to putting Harry down, that he can't help himself. It's ingrained in him. Well, the will has been found...sort of. The box has been found, but they don't really know what's in the box yet, and yes, it could take a little while. That's okay though, because the timing's not right yet. Hmmm...that would have been interesting, wouldn't it? If only Severus could open it. No, the box has to be opened before the instructions will be clear. So, I'm waiting anxiously for SD!!! :)
Author's Response: Yeah, Harry was one very lucky boy. You're right though, he'd better watch it if he plans to do anymore midnight strolls! You can't fool Snape forever.
Thanks, working on the next chapter now. Oh, and will we see an update of "Father of Mine" soon. I really love that story. I'm so anxious to see more! So many unanswered questions!
I really liked how you created Harry's fear of the black dog, both in his dreams and when it appears in person. Hagrid handled the situation so casually, but Harry knew it meant something more and it made it seem creepy, even though I don't think that Sirius will be an antagonist in this story. I do have a bit of criticism for this chapter because it almost feels like you're rushing the story along. Within the last two chapters, two weeks of time have passed and Harry is only staying with Snape for three weeks. Is this story going to continue after the three weeks or will it be over then? If that was the case, then it would be fine, but I'm not really sure if you intended on this being a long or short story. Also, there was very little build up to Harry feeling comfortable spending time in Snape's presence. I'm glad that Harry has started to trust Snape, but we didn't really get to see the little moments where he acquired that trust. I do like this story though and I hope my criticism hasn't gotten you down. You're definitely one of my favorite authors on this site and I look forward to reading more of this story soon. -P.G. Author's Response: Oh, don't worry. There will definitely be a lot more of Snape and Harry time. I thought maybe that readers were getting a little bored that the story was taking too long to develop, but I see that that's not the case. I'll try to put more of Snape and Harry together in the chapter I'm working on right now. Sirius will play a big part in this story, and Snape's relationship with Harry will take a new twist very soon. There is a lot more to come. Thanks for your advice though. I just didn't realise that anyone would be interested to see more of Snape and Harry together at this point, but I will definitely show more in this chapter. Thanks. I always appreciate advice from you, and since I too consider you as one of my favourite authors on here, I will definitely take your cirticism to heart and add more Harry and Snape moments.
Thanks, I"m woking on the next chapter as we speak as a matter of fact.
Author's Response: LOL! Harry will do that to you! Nerves of steel that boy. Thanks for reviewing.
Severus is definitely strict and no-nonsense, but really he hasn't been too unreasonable with Harry so far, and he's much better than the Dursleys for certain! You did a good job with Hagrid. I think he'd be kind of tough to write; probably why I haven't written him yet myself. But you really captured him, and I loved Severus thinking of how Hagrid was putty in Harry's hands...so true, so true. Now I can't wait for more on that curious little box that the Aurors discovered! Author's Response: Well...this is Harry we're talking about, isn't it? Hopefully, he'll stay put for awhile!
Yeah, I think that Snape may be strict, but he's not as cruel to Harry as he used to be, and yes, definitely he is better than the Dursleys. Ooh, I was worried about Hagrid. I don't think I got the accent right, but I hope I captured his spirit. Yeah, the big lug is such a softie! |
