I wonder how long it will take for Harry to begin to break through Severus' shell? Harry is looking for a friend, of course, but I hope that Severus will eventually become far more than that to him. I just hope that Severus won't go to far in his molding of this innocent and really quite sweet, child.

No, definitely NOT "Epic Fail". I do hope you continue on with this. I'm very fond of "Harry-in-Slytherin" stories and this is a very good start. You've kept Severus in character and I definitely like that. Also, your Harry is acting age appropriate and situation appropriate, given what has happened to him. So, bravo! and keep up the good work!
