Remus has a valid point. People all have a breaking point.

That is so horribly horrible. Poor Remus.

I can understand Remus' frustration with Snape. For those, who the price is too high, it must be a miserable existence indeed.

But at least Remus can get it for free. The others...well that is too sad.

OOh, Remus was really out of line putting Severus and Harry on the spot like that about Harry's robes. If he had any questions about it, or concerns, he should have confronted Severus in private.

I'm so glad that you've posted here, and that I get the opportunity to read this wonderful story again. :)

    Author's Response:

I'm having fun going through it again too! (Is that allowed?)

I wanted to show why Remus was returning so on edge. And yes, the public mention of the robes was out of line. He doesn't know what he's poking....

    Thanks for the comments!

Poor Severus! First his son criticizes his appearance, and then his peers assume he can't afford Harry's robes. I bet he never knew parenthood was such a humiliating experience.

Your Lupin is so much more complex and interesting than canon. He has more of a spine, and is willing to bait Snape to get an answer, and not just turn the other cheek.

    Great chapter!

Wow, that was really intense, especially there at the end. You've really painted deep layers for Remus in this story. Very well done. And I'm still enjoying Snape and Harry and there interactions. Especially loved the comment from Snape, "You're an irritating boy." Not sure why, but it almost seemed affectionate. *grins*

    Author's Response:

Yes, Remus has a lot going on here. And you got just what I'd intended out of Snape's comment!

     Thanks for commenting!
