Reviews For Blood Magic
At the same time, the amount of charicterization that you're accomplishing with Lupin - seeing him in a new light via his opinions, dialogue, reaction to Harry's relationship with Severus - makes him an extremely well written character that adds to the plot as a whole. Lupin's 'insight' into how Harry should handle Snape shows another facet of how things can be constrewed if only given certain facts. Harry's frustration with the same problem - with Lupin and other adults as a whole - makes this little bit of irony very well placed and written.
Author's Response: Thank you for the kind words (and I apologize for replying months later!) This is one of the best compliments a writer can get, I think. :-) There will be a little more in this universe soon.
Oh, and Snape saying to Harry that it was not a very fatherly response, was too cute. So, he's subtlety admitting to Harry that he is starting to feel fatherly towards him. Snape is obsessed with Harry's wardrobe, isn't he? LOL! Author's Response: I somehow can't imagine either of them being easily embarrassed by that. ;-)
Author's Response: Ah well. He's less on edge later..... I'm glad you're liking Harry and Snape, anyway!
I am having loads of fun with Remus in this; I love that he's taking all sorts of things from that ring Harry's got and that he's chatting sex with Harry so blithely. LOL Snape too actually. And loved the, "Not a very fatherly response" bit. Can't wait for more! Author's Response: This has a few punctuation improvements, but yeah.
Remus is kind of hoping that if he talks, Harry will talk.... |
