Severus truly is doing a pretty good job as a dad - he is teaching Harry valuable critical thinking skills, though he is doing a harsh job of it as well - tougher than most would be capable of managing. Good thing it's Harry, with the combination of DNA and environment he has grown up under.

I'm terrible about leaving feedback, but as I'm rereading this for the...fourth? time, I just had to stop and say that I absolutely love the discussion Severus and Harry have at the end about bravery vs recklessness, and how sometimes it's neither. I mean, I love pretty much everything about this story, especially the relationship/interpersonal stuff, but I really enjoy these moments of insight into human (and not just Harry's) behavior. Harry's earlier conversation with Remus about virtues and faults is another favorite of mine.
Ooh, Harry just keeps getting in trouble! Typical Harry.
That was funny how Harry scared those Hufflepuffs. Too cute. He's starting to look a little like Snape now, I suppose. Too cute.

Good chapter, with Severus trying hard to be paternal, which must be quite scary.
Author's Response: Yes, definitely! Thanks. :-)
Nice chapter. I can see this classroom interaction with his father is going to be very hard on Harry, possible Severus as well. Draco, well he's just Draco. Thank you for the update.
Author's Response: Yes, public interactions will be a strain for a while. :-)
