Author's Response: I had to reread this story (it's now June 2021)--it's been more than a decade since I wrote it, and I'd honestly forgotten about a lot of what happened in the Room! So glad that your review prompted me to go back to one of my earliest stories--I'm getting inspired! Thank you fir reading and reviewing, and I'm happy you liked it.
Also, may I ask how the chaptered version is doing? Author's Response: My infamous multi-chap had around 17 chapters a couple of years ago! Still incomplete. Maybe I can kick myself into gear tho summer, after I finish quilting my first quilt. I'm determined to get the quilt finished before I die of old age! But I do want to get back into that long story. I hope it will prove worth the wait! Many thanks for reading and reviewing my second fanfic!

Author's Response: Thanks! I have an unposted (thus far) WIP where I've included the sequel to this story as a chapter. One of these days, I hope to get the story finished & posted-- you'll definitely recognize this when you encounter it again! Thanks for the review!
Author's Response: Thanks! That story is still a WIP, and I need to get it finished, revised, and edited before posting any chapters. My life is so insane, I could never write, post, write, post like other authors do-- I'd never get it done & readers would be screaming for updates that wouldn't come. Having been left hanging as a reader, I want to make sure the story is complete before putting it out there! So far, I have about 17 chaps done, but still need to fill in sections. Thanks for your vote of confidence! I'll admit, I did have fun writing the other perspective! Hee!
I agree with you on the Prince's book. Snape must have spent ages annotating, experimenting and creating and then the book gets destroyed. Hopefully he kept a copy of the notes! Author's Response: Hi! Knowing Snape (ahem-- the Prince), he probably had memorized everything over the years, but it's just the idea of the book getting destroyed... Arg! I think about my college books that I annotated (and memorized long enough to pass exams!), and how much I'd lose if something happened to them and I couldn't refer to the notes if I ever needed to. Most of my notes came from my professors, but still... Thanks for reading and reviewing! :-)
Author's Response: Oh, YES! There's SO MUCH potential for PLOTS inside that Room! My gosh, when I saw DH2, it looked like they'd taken every single prop from the entire SERIES and stuffed it in the RoR!!! I'd saved my $ so I could see DH2 several times in the theater, and when it came to that scene, I kept trying to see if I could spot the armadillo from the Gryffindor Common Room! (Have never figured out WHY there was an armadillo as an "accessory" for Gryffindor decor!)
Author's Response: I have an infamous multi-chap in progress (began writing about 4 years ago, and I won't post it until it's completely finished-- otherwise, I'd NEVER get it finished!), and I've already rewritten the Room of Requirement scene from the future Harry's perspective, planning -- if all goes well-- to include the future version of the scene in the multi-chap. I don't know when I'll get the story finished, since I have several others in the works at the moment, but when you see the scene, you'll know it! As for Harry's reaction, well, he's just glad to see Snape get something put over on him, without present-Harry actually doing it himself. Sure, Snape will probably give him a detention (I left that deliberately open-ended), but Harry is enjoying the MOMENT, if you know what I mean! |
