LOVE THIS!!! Update ASAP I am super excited to know what happens over Christmas break!!!
One of my favorite stories ever. I think Ginny would be accepting even if slightly confused, Ron would probably be stubborn for a while but still loyal, Fred and George would be a bit mad at Snape but stand by Harry as would everyone of the Weasley's but Percy and Molly. Molly would hug Snape and Harry and force them both to eat if she saw them, all the while saying "They are much too skinny and really should eat something." And they would be forced to have fourths on dinner at least. Lol Draco and the Malfoys would be shocked, Draco would probably be a bit rude to Harry but get over it, Lucius would hate Snape, and Narcissa would smile and be understanding but still stand by her husband.........I don't know any ideas of conflict except maybe Snape losing his temper? Harry talking to him about Ron? I don't know.....Update soon! Wow this is a long review.........OH! I wonder what they get each other for Christmas!

For some reason, I always get awkward-ed out when Harry Potter has to go to Snape's office and spends an "unreasonable" amount of time there. However, I have to say, that your story pulled it off. I enjoyed reading their interactions and how you made a point of Ron's suspicions.
Sometimes though, I have a desire to read more description, a little more elaboration of thought and visual aspects.
As to some ideas for the upcoming chapters, perhaps more interactions with Ginny? He hasn't had a real one yet, and it be entertaining to see how Snape reacts to Harry's "love life". As for Christmas, I imagine an awkward affair, though still oddly satisfying. Watching the Muppets Christmas Carol might be interesting.
Hm.. an ongoing conflict you mean? Other than the fact that he is the son of his enemy and Harry has hated him for years? Well, depending on what year this is - sixth, I think? - you could draw on some of the canon plot points, Harry finding out more about Tom and all that. Or - if completely AU - maybe once they have a certain degree of trust between them, something happens that tests that trust. *shrug*

this is really good n i cnt w8 2 read the nxt chapter im looking 4ward 2 the christmas chaoter maybe they could go xmas shopping together n secretly buy presents for each other
as for the conflict maybe harry starts to feel as if snape is using harry to replace lily... haha its not a really much of an idea bt i hope it helps!!
Well...rule-breaking? Hot-headedness over Harry's frnds - esp. Ron........

I think a Christmas chapter or two would be great, I love those. As far as conflict, I don't think you've really resolved Harry's fear of being cast off by Severus. I think that will come up a time or two or three, or a misunderstanding regarding a partially overheard conversation or something that breaks a trust and takes a while to resolve.
Ah, yes, at last. Who didn't love a wonderfully angsty chapter?
One thing I wonder though, is how can Snape say these things to Harry? About Harry deserving to be treated right? When Snape has done nothing through the years but treat the boy horribly?
Other than that aspect, this was an emotionally satisfying chapter.

Author's Response: Severus has already acknowledged at a previous point that Harry deserves better and that he is wrong, and saying to Harry is like cementing that in Snape's own brain, that Harry deserves to be treated right. Thanks for the review.
I started this a few days ago, so figured I better get back over here and finish catching up.
I liked this chapter. Loved seeing Draco get scolded in Potions, and writing his lines. That's a really ideal punishment for him.

Loved the chapter. I would like to see dumbledore shown up for what he is cruel to Harry. I think the fight should be about Severus trying to get Harry to have a better opinion of himself and I like Hermione/Harry as I can never see her with Ron
