Reviews For Burnt
Nice story, brutal but interesting
One thing that annoys me though is his use of the word "ain't" in this chapter. I quite understand why he would use the word, as he seems to have been living on the street at a time, but in the other chapters, he seems quite intelligent and well aware...it's weird having him result to poor word usage. I'm going to assume that his use of the word is simply because his brave facade was slipping and his guard was down the more upset he got. I have enjoyed this fic thus far, but I really thought I wouldn't. I just hate reading fics about Harry being physically impaired. Makes me all sad inside... Author's Response: I'm going to assume that his use of the word is simply because his brave facade was slipping and his guard was down the more upset he got. - That's the reason I was going with. :)
Good chapter.
May I say, I absolutely love your Harry? He's much more clever, jaded, and cynical than canon Harry (completely understandable, look at what he's suffered through in your fic). There's a vulnerability inside him, somewhere deep down, but he remains quite hardened on the outside. I really enjoy your portrayal of him and am very much looking forward to the next chapter. By the way, the part where Snape reaches out and touches Harry's hand, the very hand that is missing several fingers, just cut me to the bone. Such a small thing, yet so meaningful and poignant. Amazing storytelling here. Author's Response: Geez, now you're making me sniffle. Thanks. :) More to come in the near future. Snape will be learning more of why Harry is having such a violent reaction NOW . . .
It really was pretty cool how he messed up Aubrey though haha. Really great job! I can't wait to read more of this!
