Great chapter I like Severus taking Harry to diagon much more than Hagrid!
Here's hoping the Dursleys really do follow Snape's instructions. Somehow I doubt it though. Good to see Harry and Snape get off on the right foot this time. Hope that continues. With Snape as a mentor, Harry's more likely to end up in Slytherin I think.

I'm so glad that Snape has made arrangements for Harry to stay in touch. I hope Harry tries hard to read his books, if for no other reason than to reassure Snape that he's worth it.

Great chapter! I wonder what Harry will say in his reports to Professor Snape. Watch out for minor spelling errors.

I am enjoying how in character you are keeping Snape while still allowing him to interact civilly with Harry.
Too bad the rules are so restrictive on what animals the students can bring with them to Hogwarts. Of course, I can't help but wonder if the same rules apply to professors? *giggles*
After all, I'm sure that Snape would have a use for shed snake skins or even powdered snake eggs in some of his potions. :-D
