LOL @ Snape helping himself (and Harry) the Vernon's checkbook. I liked the more magnanimous Snape behavior. I'm eager to see how things go and which house Harry ends up in. Excellent chapter. I'll be waiting anxiously for the next installment.
Oh, this is coming along nicely! Now how will our slytherin Snape support Harry's slytherin tendencies and get around the first year familiar list? Or does he have something else in mind? Eagerly awaiting the next chapter to find out.
Awww, cute beginning. Severus sounded very dictatorial when he told the Dursleys how they would be treating Harry. I am surprised that he was able to go on and on about it, and I wonder if Petunia will be able to find a way to make Harry's life miserable anyway. Or if she will still try. There is still the matter of Dudley. I worry that Dudley is going to wake up and make a scene before Snape and Harry are off.
