Oh, what a shock for the both of them! Poor Harry and poor Severus, to have had all those years stolen from them. I can understand why Lily made her choice, but I can't help but be heart-broken for Sev and Harry. How different everything could have been.
I am glad that Severus is affected by Dumbledore's words, for DD is quite right and I know it's still not too late for them to have a wonderful and close relationship. It may be difficult at first, but Harry is extraordinarily forgiving and if Severus lets him know that he has changed, I know Harry would meet him more than halfway.
Aw, that's so sweet. I hope that Severus steps up to the plate and fills his role as Harry's father.
