    I'm apologise if I came off snappish. But dealing with plagiarisers has been a pain.  There have been three prove-able incidences that I'm aware of. I half-way expect someone to accuse me of plagiarising my own work. Once again, I'm sorry and hope you enjoy the rest of the story.

    this is a wonderful story:) though I wanted to ask - have you had it posted somewehere previously? i am only asking because it is eerily familiar to me, as if I have read it before...

    Yes I have.  I originally posted this story in 2009 under the penname Imablack on FFNet. The original date tag is still there. There have been at least three attempts to plagiarize my story, one of which was on this site, but they were removed.  I assure you...I AM the original author.

    Great story. Love how it is progressing. It great to see that though Harry lost his mother and adopted father he has now found his birth father. Looking forward to seeing where this goes

    Thank you very much.  I thought the original progressed too quickly, thus the re-write of the re-write. I'm a little over half-way through chapter 13, which has a scene I thought was sorely lacking in the first draft, but I have only just now figured out how to write it. I hope it turns out well.

    A well written story.
    One bit of nitpicking: "Coup de gras" means "stroke of fat". The correct term is "coup de grâce" which means "stroke of grace".
