Author's Response: Thanks very much! I have a one-shot sequel called the Substitute on here and another called Birthday Treat also, but BT is posted on ff.net because it doesn't have Harry in it, it's a continuation with Severus and little Albus Severus.
I loved it. I, too, was badly shaken by his death. In the book I read it as he was bit once and therefore I never really believed he died.
This story was excellent! It had everything in it that I liked, an injured vulnerable Harry, and understanding protective Snape, evil Umbridge, and best of all a Snape that lived.
Though I cried during this one too, but they were tears of joy. Long live Severus Snape! And may he find a great student in Sev Potter. I'd love to see another one-shot if you have time.
I absoultely LOVED it!
I cried so hard during the movie I thought my eyes were going to melt away out of my head. I really hate that he died it never should have happened.
But I love how you saved him in this story, it fit very well with the plot and was believable. I also liked the Harry and Snape interaction in the beginning with Snape healing Harry from awful Umbridge's caning. That was so sweet!
I loved all of it!
This was so touching and wonderful! This how I wanted the series to end! Brilliant! Please write more!
It was really touching. I wish JKR had let Harry heal Severus with essence of dittany or something like that...

You got it right. This is the way The Deathly Hallows should have ended! Very moving story.
Wow! I am amazed and deeply touched by your very sensible portray of what happened, what could have happened and finally what kind of man Severus was. Thank you very much for this brilliant tribute to a character we all love. The twist in fifth year was inventive and opened up the door for a few very cute scenes between Harry and our grumpy Potions master. ^___^ Oh and the time "after" the actual epilogue! Great story!!

An excellent story, as usual. If I see your name as author I know it will be a well written and entertaining work.
I haen't seen DHII yet. I'm looking forward and yet dreading it all at the same time. I've always thought that the HP series was always more Snape's tale that Harry's.
