This is beautiful and potent angst. Raw emotion raging within, bursting at the seams, needing an outlet. Snaps has so subtly become a tamer of those inner storms raging within Harry. Simply beautiful. And so upset with McGonagall - she’s a completely awful head of house.
I just realized that I’ve read this story before! It’s so good, I was drawn in just like the first time around. The idea of a second string team is fantastic. Harry is in an awful place and you’ve described his despair so well.
Interesting that Harry is behaving like the names he’s been called, even as he’s frustrated that none of them really know him. He seems full of anger with no productive outlet and no one who truly understands what he’s experiencing.
Intriguing start to the story. There appears to be much happening in Harry’s life that has yet to be uncovered. I hope that Snape can find a way through to him.
That was a really nice ending. I like it.
I've never felt that physical tightening of the chest unless I'm already crying. But reading this chapter...whoa. The "I hate Christmas" part, I could just hear the little Grinch in his little hurt voice yelling at the top of Mt. Crumpet. I almost never give a rating of ten, I make it a point to save it for REALLY GOOD chapters. Have a 10. This really hurt.
It took me so long to work up to reading this chapter because I didn't want to know Snape's reaction to Harry showing up for his Quidditch practice.
We laughed almost the entire chapter, but then of course we come to the end and a pitying look fills our eyes, because we know this isn't Harry and poor Harry is hurting and nobody knows and he needs a hug.
How have I missed this? Beautifully done.

LOVE THIS!! Your writing never fails to amaze me! I love that Decklan turned out to be such an amazing friend in this. I love that Harry will finally be going somewhere safe too!! I think this is so realistic, that sometimes in real life those you would think would always stand by you would be the first ones to leave. I'm happy for him that he has someone to stand by him. The fact that he was still doing all his homework each night absolutely broke my heart. I always love your characterization of Harry!
Can't wait to read the next part!
