Reviews For This World of Glass
Author's Response: Yes, a rather bittersweet ending I thought. And quite right - a wife someday indeed! I always wanted to do another story following up with them, but I never really felt I could do it justice. Thanks for your thoughts. Cheers!
And I love the humor! I never thought Dumbledore and McGonagall had an ongoing bet! Author's Response: Thanks ChudleyCannons! Been a long time since I have been on this site, so my apologies for being slow answering reviews (I'm only like, five months slow?!?). I still read them! I just have a looooot of other things to do :S I had way to much fun with the bet, so it's fantastic to hear you enjoyed the humour! Cheers!
Wish I could rate it higher than 10! --his Author's Response: Hey, hisnhers! I am so glad you loved the series. I still miss it, to this day. It was so much fun to write, and I learned so much about writing too. I am just stoked you enjoyed it as much as you did. Thanks a lot for such a great rating - and saying you would rate it higher if you could. It's the middle of the night, and I'm grinning like a crazy person, haha, thanks to your words. Good luck to your family, and your father. Lots of love, Whitetail.
I just really, really love this version of these characters. Harry and Draco with all their brotherliness and mischief just made me so very happy. Severus' growth throughout all of this was also brilliant to read. I've just grown so attached and invested in this little family you have portrayed but now I've reached the end and I have very mixed feelings about that. I'm going to miss them! I am especially fond of the way you executed Dumbledore's passing and the final moment he had with Severus. Beautifully done. So, much as I'm sad to see the end of this tale and series, I am very satisfied with it all. Would I have liked more? But of course! However, it is in no way lacking or incomplete - you should be very proud of this series! Author's Response: Hey Dream! Wow, I am so, so glad you liked TWOG, and the series. I absolutely loved writing this story, and though it wasn't as heavily reviewed as many of my other works, I am so proud of how this one turned out. I too became very attached to this version of the characters - I even know exactly what has happened to them all after this, haha, but I do not think I will write any further stories. I've said that before, though, so who knows, haha! It is lovely to hear that you would love more though!! I am very pleased you were happy with Dumbledore's passing and felt the trilogy was complete. These kinds of detailed reviews are the icing on top of the satisfaction of completing a story, so thanks again for reviewing! Cheers, Whitetail
Author's Response: It is tempting! What happens to Laura and Sev? Well, they got married - it's quite the story how Severus proposed ... actually. Tempting ... tempting to post something like that ... They ended up with some lovely grandchildren from Harry and Ginny, as well as a set from Draco and Hermione. Before the grandchildren arived they had one daughter together. That's the basic info I decided a looonnng time ago. Another story would be lovely to do, though, but I don't know if I ever will. Thanks so much for reading, Jessica! I am very glad you enjoyed it.
Author's Response: Thank you for the review!
But you also made me smile and laugh at so many parts and, even though I usually don't like first person narrators, I enjoyed this story sooooo much! and Severus' animagi form was just too sweet ^^ Author's Response: Hi Kyoko! Thank you so much for reviewing! I absolutely love it when people review past stories of mine! This one will always be very dear to my heart, so it is especially wonderful for me to hear what you think about it! It is also great to know you enjoyed it despite the first person narration - which means I've done my job! Thanks again for reviewing!
Author's Response: Oh gosh, that would be funny. I bet Sirius would light on fire on the spot when he found out just who he had so kindly carried back to the Burrow! I am so glad you enjoyed the trilogy! I had a blast writing it, and I am nothing but delighted at the knowledge that it has been enjoyed, especiallly considering I only ever meant to write the first story in this series! I am glad I continued, and that is very much in part because of the wonderful people who have reviewed and encouraged me. Even now it makes my day to see a comment left on something I have finished! It keeps me motivated to work on other projects. Thanks so much for your comments shadow!
Thank you. Author's Response: I didn't mention it because I felt it wasn't important, given that they survived and that was 'all that mattered' But, in my mind it turned out a lot like the battle in DH. They destroyed all the horcruxes (Draco helping instead of hindering, and they ended up at Malfoy Manor anyway with Bellatrix there instead), Harry didn't know until the last moment that he had to die, like before, only instead of being given Snape's memories (because Severus obviously survives this time) Severus found Harry during the battle and gave him a phial of Dumbledore's memories that had been entrusted to him, which told the story of how Dumbledore figured it all out etc, and that Harry had to die. Then everything went as it did in the book. Then, Severus and Laura got married and lived happily every after. Hope that helped CarlinPaddy, and thank you for the review!
Thank you again - I will miss this story, too, but it was great to see everything wrapped up so well. I'm hoping to read many more of your fics in the future! Sita Author's Response: Wow, thanks so much Sita! I'm glad you liked the evolution in the series, as I only ever meant to write the first story in this series. The two that followed were just dying to escape from my head, so I'm personaly pleased as punch that people actually continued to read and that it turned out well! As for Severus being a husband, so you know, in my mind, they do end up getting married after the war. I'm really glad you liked the sherbert lemon thing, as that came completely without planning and I liked that part a lot. Thanks a lot for all of the contributions you have made with your reviews, which have truly made my day on many occasions. |
