Reviews For Prisoners
Author's Response: That would be nice for Harry, wouldn't it? But alas ... unless he never deals with Sirius' death properly, he must return to himself. I am glad you enjoyed Ron's appearance! Thank you for the review!
Author's Response: Great to hear you liked Harry's fun with Severus' name! Hmm, yes, what is Dumbledore up to? You'll find out soon enough ... Thanks for the review!
Author's Response: I am very glad you enjoyed Ron playing in the sea as well, and the funny ending. Haha, I don't know if Sev could be added to the Weasley clock! Harry never was in the books, and no doubt Molly would have loved to. I'm surprised she didn't add him ... Mind you, Harry would probably be permanantly stuck in mortal peril. Thanks for your review!
I mean everything made me go awww. I noticed that severus was getting better good for him! He should adopt harry and not let harry grow up so he can give harry a better childhood; his friends seem okay with his shortness now. Great chapter. But one thing scares me in the end notes you more or less said this story was ending IS THAT TURE!!! Author's Response: Glad you liked the chapter. Unfortunately, Severus has no control on Harry growing up again, as the survival magic was invoked by Harry when his mental state was in danger, and so he will have to turn back when he deals with Sirius' death and realizes it wasn't his fault. And as for the story ending, eventually, but not for seven chapters or so. I merely meant that I have almost the whole story written and waiting to post so squeaking a new section in there was a bit interesting! Thanks for the review Pika!
Yeah Ron got to visit. I can't wait for the day Dumbledore comes...finally. It should be entertaining. I wonder if you are going to have him know that Harry was being treated awful or just have him say that he knew the Dursleys hated magic but he thought since it was Lily's child Petunia would have a heart for family. blah blah blah. I wonder if Harry will be back to normal by his birthday party. I have a feeling that he will not be but what do I know I am not the author. :) The last scene was very cute and Severus is laughing a lot more lately and its good for him :P Author's Response: Hmm, I suppose you will just have to wait and see which road I take regarding Dumbledore's knowledge, as well as find out if your theory about Harry's birthday is right! I do like to hear theories! I am glad you enjoyed the last scene. Yes, Severus has lightened up. He needed to eventually, I think. Thanks for your review!
Author's Response: Thanks hazpotsfan! I am pleased you are liking the growing relationship between Harry and Severus.
So sorry for going AWOL for so long, my computer literally died and had a lengthy stay at the repair shop meaning that all my other work got pushed back, arg it was horrible. But Imma going to retroactively review all the chapters I missed here! *horns toot and review box groans from the huge amount of rambling* There better not be a word limit har har! Oh good fucking lord *rereads the ball catching scene* I loved that and how its working to healing both Harry and Severus and letting them see their common ground. You've also perfected Harrys five year old voice, using words like "yup" really colour the dialog and give you insight into harrys mental age and it works really well coming to the latest character, you can notice the subtle changes. The scrape bit with harry wanting the Snape destroyed my heart and I really loved your Snape and Hermonie dialog. I think you write Snape and Hermonie interchanges really well because I always enjoy reading them and I like how you've gradually got Snape opening up to her with Photographs being a high point (that chapter was so sweet and handled really well, not completely bogged down in angst or being too light hearted) . Also loved Photographs in that I finally realised that it's not just harry that can heal via Snape and that this all is closure (decades late) for snape too. Spying really screws you when it comes to being open. I've also been enjoying the kinda subplot of Severus's letters to Dumbledore, that mysterious old coot. So I'm interested to see where it leads, was he really busy or was he just sock shopping?!?! That blanket fort and the thunder in chapter 15 you can probably predict what it did to my heart. Brilliant how you wrapped up some of Snapes history with such a sweet thing, him making forts to escape his father and passing that part of himself down to harry. I feel like everything Snape does has a second dimension to it in your story, that it has a history and a reason. I think that is just part of your skill with characterisation. A Surprise for Petunia, was fantastic, like the bits giving insight into Snapes mental state, the constant fear of the wild magic and how he purposely donned his full robes regardless of all the buttons. It was just a really well crafted chapter, I could feel tension all through it which was brilliant. Can I just say the way that Harry clings/hides/grabs Snapes legs is adorable? The Evils of Baths had that and had Snape loosening up a bit, him smiling at the end of that chapter was nice, yay finally Snape being able to live a life and be happy. In regards to the latest chapter, oh gods, I've been feeling it coming, eventually Harry is going to grow up buuut Snapes aside to Molly that he'll miss him...*eyes sparkle* So yess, I'm not worried I know Snape will want to be in Harrys life in some capacity regardless if Harry is a moody teen. That was a great piece of dialog between Harry and Snape at night, it felt natural and was enjoyable to read. Harry telling Snape that he's good enough was gah *incoherent babbling* (again though, too bad this is coming decades too late *sad violins play for Snape*) I also like how you've done Snapes history, I like the idea of his fathers mumbo jumbo finally breaking through in his fifth year coupled with their deaths. And I could imagine Snape as a healer . Also I've always thought there would of been much more to that fifth year explosion so I really like the background you've given. Cause I was also thinking about all the nasty things he'd said over the years in the books and that horribleness must of had a origin *looks toward Tobias accusingly as well as the Marauders*. Also, cause I'm worried I may of forgotten to say it in my reviews, the progression of Snapes rehab has been spot on and his frustration with it, really accurate. For not only his character but also people having to go through rehab in general. Handled very well and written so it's interesting and insightful. I'm really intrigued about next chapter (especially when you said fluff and angst, my two favourite things!) Also the birthday party sounds great, looking forward to all the chaos that will afford ;) You shouldn't be on the fence about this chapter, it was awesome! So many parts I loved :3 Lords, this is such a rambling review, maybe I should of just said "UR WRITING GOOD I LIKE MUCH YES" at least its far more succinct. I hope your finals went brilliantly and thanks so much for continuing this brilliant story :D Author's Response: Oh my goodness gracious, Silver_Snake! You totally made my day! This is the longest, awesomest review I've ever gotten! Thank you so much for taking the time to include your thoughts on all the chapters so far! I could write a page full of thanks. Your feedback is so helpful, especially in regards to characterizations and the illusion of depth. I am very glad that you feel Snape's actions have meaning as well, and that you are enjoying his background, and his interactions with Hermione. Half the time, just as when you draw a picture, when you write something, all you can see flaws and the cracks in the story, and it his very hard to see the big picture as the audience does. I am so glad that you are enjoying it. Haha, I would love to see more fan art sometime down the road if you are willing to share it. If you ever do draw more, I would be absolutely giggling with glee if you linked it to me. It's so great when I don't have to draw every picture about my story! Besides, it gives me an idea how people picture the scene! And, I am very glad you didn't just write "ur writing is good", haha. This kind of feedback helps me learn, and hopefully, helps me to produce better stories for you guys to read! So thank you so much Silver_Snake for all the wonderful comments! And yes, my finals did go well. Sorry about your computer ... yikes, that must have sucked. I'm glad it's fixed now though! Personally, I would go nutty if I didn't have my stories with me to work on ... Cheers!
Author's Response: Hey, great to hear you liked Ron, Karis! And yes, Angst and fluff! I am looking forward to it. It's one of my favourite chapters. Thanks for reviewing!
Author's Response: Great to hear you're still hooked! Thanks for reviewing! |
