This was an absolutely beautiful story! I enjoyed it so much.

""Twinkle Twinkle ... little star," a child's voice sang ponderously nearby, the words soft and almost too quiet to be heard.

Severus knew that voice. Oh, how he knew that voice."

I can't tell you how much this quote from your story resonates with me. Especially Severus' reaction. I can see this scene play out so easily in my head and it is so heartbreaking.

Thank you so much for sharing you story with us! I'm going to be reading it over and over again in the future.

Author's Response: Hi aurorpotter! I am so glad you enjoyed that particular section of Prisoners. It just make me jump for joy when people can point out what sections they feel make the story. Feedback like that is very helpful! I am so glad the quote resonates with you. I love nothing more than to hear from readers that something from a story resonates with them, because my overall goal as a writer is to forge connection. You are most welcome, and thank you very much for the review. It means an awful lot to get reviews on a story that has been finished. It shows that it is still appreciated! Cheers, Whitetail.

This was absolutely fantastic! Beautifully bittersweet and wonderfully written. I'm somewhere between smiling and crying and honestly that's my favorite place to be after reading something.

    Author's Response:

Thank you so much for reviewing! It is always a treat to get a new review for a finished story. I am so glad you liked it. :)

    OMG.

Excuse me a moment while I try to put together a coherent thought... OMG!

I just... How could... I don't even know where to START with this. It just... WOW. That's the least rambling way I can thing to put it, anyhow.

This tale has been such a delightful read. The way you portrayed all the hurts and frustrations faced by the various characters and their individual recoveries felt very real. Your depiction of the characters felt very true - even for those who appeared only briefly. And the smorgasbord of cleverly turned phrases you utilized throughout!!! O!M!G!!

Needless to say, I love this story. It drew me in from the very start and I have been hard pressed to get anything else accomplished for the duration. Had I not spent the entire night and way beyond my proper bed time reading to the end, I could probably give a more insightful (and concise) review, but alas, I was so totally ensnared by your wordsmithery that I failed to even notice how late it has come.

Now, I'm truly rambling, so I shall conclude with this: HOLY CRAP, WHAT A FANTASTIC STORY YOU'VE WRITTEN! THANKS FOR SHARING!!

Author's Response: Like, OMG Dream Painter - thanks for the awesome, long review! I myself am having trouble expressing how pleased I am to hear your words, haha! You are most welcome for the story. It is excellent to hear you liked it so much. I consider it a job well done if it interferes with sleep! Cough cough ... yeah, sorry about that ... but I suspect the sleep depirvation may have been worth it. Just going out on a limb here ... ;) Also, I love rambling reviews! Wordsmithery - squee, so awesome sounding! :) Cheers!

Hello! I just wanted to say "nicely done" for your thoroughly enjoyable story. In full disclosure, though part of the HP fandom for some time, I've never been much of a Snape fan. I always thought he was a good guy, but never a nice guy. Recently, I've been drawn to finding a story where Snape's attitude towards Harry changes, yet still keeps within the confines of canon. I've yet to find exactly what I'm looking for, but I stumbled upon this while I searched. Never having read a de-aging story, I was uncertain what to expect, but found myself thoroughly in love with little Harry. I couldn't stop reading, and its kudos to you for writing such a wonderful tale. I'm notoriously picky, but can honestly say the only part I balked at was the "daddy" reference. That's my own personal preference, however, and after walking away briefly, I returned to finish the story I'd come to enjoy so much. I'm really sorry it's over. Best of luck with all your future endeavors.

Author's Response: Hi Melindaleo! Thanks so much for your long and detailed review! I am so glad that you found things in this story to enjoy despite your particular tastes. I completely get why you would not like the "Daddy" reference. I took a very long time to warm up to these sorts of fics myself. I started the same way, loving to read the cute Harry moments more than anything, and later growing to enjoy Snape as a father figure. These fics are an aquired taste, that is for certain, and it is a taste you may never aquire. To each their own, however! I am glad that you enjoyed the rest of the story despite that part. (Oooh I must have really annoyed you with that one if you had to walk away, haha!) Thanks again for sharing what you liked and didn't like. Reviews like this really help me to see through the eyes of the reader and understand how my work is perceived. Cheers!

Incredible story - just read the whole thing in the past three evenings, and so sad it's over! Can't decide if I want to read some of your other stories now...don't see how anything could possibly compare! Definitely one of the best fanfics I've ever read. Thank you so much for this gift.

Author's Response: Wow, thank you so much for reading and reviewing! It is wonderful to hear that you enjoyed it so much. I would definitely say Prisoners has to be my most popular story among readers, so I don't know what you would think of the others! Although, interstingly enough, it isn't my personal favourite out of the ones I have written, but I think it's probably some of my best work. You are most welcome for the gift. I am just so glad that you enjoyed it so much. I put a lot of work and thought into it.

Normally I don't particularly like deaging stories, but since you wrote this one, I had to read it. And it was incredible! Beautifully written, touching, perfect balance of humor and angst... Just amazing.

Author's Response: Hi, Abie! It is awesome to hear that you enjoyed this story so much. It's always a treat to hear from people who usually don't read a certain kind of story, but enjoy something I've written in that catagory anyway. It's a real compliment, so thank you for taking the time to let me know what you thought!
