I don't know about not polished, it seemed a pretty smooth chapter to me and the happy, but not too sugary, ending left me with a satisfied smile on my face. Even though there are battles to be won in the future I'm sure this little family will make it through.
I liked the Dursleys punishment - not too OTT or vicious, but how they're going to hate it!
Teaching Arithmancy was the perfect way to get Severus back to Hogwarts to complete the story, and he should be spared dunderheads since his students will all have chosen the subject.
Thank you for the fun, and I appreciated the regular posting schedule too.

Author's Response: Hey rosina! Great to hear you enjoyed the chapter. I guess it just felt unpolished to me because I had to rush to get it done! I am pleased to hear you are happy with the fate of the Dursleys. I had fun with that. Thanks so much for all of your reviews, and you are welcome for the posting schedule! I prefer to do it regularly, because it gives me a more concrete deadline. Cheers!

I've waited to review until now because I didn't want to simply write over and over how excited I've been, waiting for another chapter each week. That said, I have to thank you for putting together such a beautiful story of loss and the healing that can happen when others reach out and share your hope and grief.
I've loved watching Severus, Harry, and Hermione grow closer through their trouble, and it's felt like such a triumph as they've realised how much they each mean to the others despite the rough patches.
Thanks for sharing Prisoners with us. I can't wait to see what you come up with next. =)

Author's Response: Wow, thank you so very much! Well, this review was worth the wait. I am so pleased to hear that you felt the story was beautiful, for I tired to make it that way despite the pain that the main characters must go through. Well, I hope that whatever I end up posting next lives up to your expectations! Cheers!

What a wonderful story! I'm sorry to see it end but it's nice to think of the three of them as a family enjoying Hogwarts and Bell Point together. I liked the idea of sending the Dursleys to Alaska. They should be miserable there.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for reviewing, bridgeportfox! I am glad you enjoyed the Dursleys going to Alaska! I felt I needed to do something different than usual when it came to them.

You know, the greatest thing is that I don’t even read childfics and/or de-age fics. Ever. But I just couldn’t help and fell in love with the first chapter of Prisoners so I kept coming back. The next best thing: I’m not an overly emotional person, yet here I am, tears streaming down my face upon reading the last paragraph. Endings are always hard, and yours is exceptionally well-written and beautiful – so is the entire story.
Thank you for writing and sharing it! I'm sure I'll check back from time to time to see what else you have up your sleeve. :)

Author's Response: Wow, thank you, Ann! I am so glad you enjoyed this story after all! Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. I am glad you enjoyed the ending - yes, endings are hard! It is so hard for me to feel satisfied with an ending, so I really appreciate hearing that you enjoyed it so much! Well, I hope that you enjoy whatever I post next too! Thanks for reviewing. ;)

a great chapter, will there be a sequel of some kind?

Author's Response: Thanks snapefan 17! As for a sequel ... well, I have ideas that could work (it seems I always do for any story I write) but it depends. If I do write a sequel, it will probably be after my next story. I will not promise a sequel, or say that it is really likely, but I can say that it could happen. If I do, I'll give everyone a shout in the shout box!

    I like it!
    Arthimancy teacher is kinda cool!
He could do some Potions tutoring too, not brewing but basic theory, prep steps, ingredient harvesting, stirring tips, etc.

Author's Response: I am glad you think that Severus' new occupation is a cool one. I wanted him to stay at Hogwarts ... and this seemed to fit! Oh yes, there are plenty of other things Severus can do at Hogwarts too, and there's always the chance he'll improve, right? Thank you for reviewing!
