Reviews For For Valour
Author's Response: Ah yes, that plot is bubbling away into a nice, thick gravy (my secret is corn starch). Yes, it doesn't bode well, does it? What follows definitely isn't happy in places, that's for sure, but every bad thing has its good parts ... Thanks for reviewing! ;)
Author's Response: Hello rosina! Yeah, For Valour is really not the typical story, so I totally get that you're on the fence. And yeah, present tense can be awkward. But you got it right on why I chose it! I was booorrred. I wanted to try something noew, and I like what it does for this story. Hopefully that won't be too distracting if you do decide to jump aboard for sure! Thanks so much for reviewing despite your reservations! ;)
Author's Response: Hey Emily - thank you so much for your review! I am glad you are enjoying it so much. Cheers!
Lucky for Harry that Severus seems to be a supportive and understanding father, else he would be in great trouble. Although I still think a mild parental lecture is warranted for invading his father’s privacy, not to mention sharing the information learned with Hermione. But then again, perhaps learning the truth (or most of it) may lead to a deeper understanding and result in a lesson learned, so there’s no further lecture needed. (But that’s just me rambling, I hope you don’t mind.) Anyway, great chapter, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It also got me pondering how much – quite contrary to canon – Severus would hate it to be called brave. I can’t imagine the amount of pain the Victoria Cross evokes along with all the cruelties of war, but I also can’t wait for you to keep unfolding them. Well, it’ll be an agonizing week till your next update. :) Author's Response: Hello Annora! Hmm, yes, a reprimand would have been good. I admit I did not think to throw that in - I was so focused on the story! Glad to hear you enjoyed it! Yeah, war medals are such a mixed back. Some want them, others want nothing to do with them, or at least from people I've talked to. Cheers!
