Absolutely lovely story. Thanks so much.
I’m so glad that Calen has redeemed himself. What a frightening episode.
I really enjoyed this chapter. I’m glad that Harry stood up to Calen and called him out on his behavior. It was nice seeing a positive cooking scene for Harry. I wish August had thought more about Calen’s feelings, but I suppose he was trying to bring balance to it all. Overall, a totally lovely chapter. Thank you.
Terrific emotional chapter. You’ve captured each of their very different feelings so well. I’m glad that Snape is stepping up. Hopefully duty will lead to love.
I love August as a character. He offers a nice contrast to Snape. I’m relieved that Harry confided in August, and hope he can do so soon with his father.
This is a perfect chapter. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry over the scene with the coins. The juxtaposition of Calen and Harry in the alley was striking. It’s simply a perfect chapter.
This chapter was heartbreaking (even as it started off pretty humorous). Harry is simply trying to be seen, to be recognized, and he’s shut down at every turn. Things can only go up from here.
I love the tryout scene. I also like the way you portray the angst Harry feels in trying to figure out how to best impress Snape.
I’m re-reading this story, after having just finished “My Secret Father”. I’m impressed that you wrote two totally different stories along a similar theme.
This first chapter was so immersive that I finished it feeling as if I know so much about this world already. It’s absolutely magical how you do that - introduce us to a story with such depth, detail, and feeling that I feel invested in it from the start. I hope that Harry gets recognized soon, as his anguish is palpable.
