Reviews For The Summer We Went Mental
I'm surprised that Albus managed to save Severus. He must be one heck of a strong old geezer! Heh, he's lucky Severus didn't poison himself, instead! Anxiously awaiting your next chapter. Author's Response: Hmm, but is Remus as oblivious as he seems? Is he just keeping his suspicions quiet because he know Harry will deny anything until he's willing to talk? Well, I've always been convinced Albus was stronger than he looked. That, and adrenaline is more powerful than magic sometimes! Yes, he is lucky Severus didn't chose the potion route. Thanks for reviewing!
I'm not surprised that both Lupin and Dumbledore have good intentions towards Severus that they never carry through on: Remus, to thank him for the Wolfsbane; Albus, to lighten his workload. I'm always in awe that Severus handled so many things all at once. Author's Response: Yeah, it is a wonder Severus was able to hold up under the strain of all his duties in the books. I can't imagine - and the pressure too! No support later on either, with the world convinced that he murdered Albus in cold blood. Thanks for the review. Always a pleasure to hear your thoughts! Cheers.
Author's Response: Indeed? Thanks for reviewing!
Author's Response: Great to hear you think highly of the piece despite the difficult subject. Cheers!

Author's Response: Hey rosina! Kudos for giving it a shot! It definitely *is* a depressing premise. But it has its happy moments. Darkness cannot exist without contrast! Thanks for the review, and I hope that it remains interesting for you!
Author's Response: Thanks for giving it a shot Fmh!
Author's Response: Good to hear you are enjoying it!
Author's Response: Howdy bridgeportfox! Oh, so you definitely have knowledge of the field of mental health. Yeah, I know this story isn't happy, and maybe it is a little too gritty. I just didn't want to dress it up to much. People have these thoughs - I've known a lot of friends who have gone through basically what Harry and Snape are going through (they are the basis for their symptoms). I've been around suicidal people ... had a close friend try to kill himself. Known someone who succeeded. So it isn't pretty - but I hope it is at least a glimpse of the difficulties faced when suicidal/ self-harming thoughts and behaviours occur. Thanks for reviewing this story! If it isn't your cup of tea, no problem. I didn't write this one for popularity! I know it isn't for everyone - in fact, I would be shocked if it got a lot of reviews. I just needed to post it for myself. It does get a little lighter though in places, so maybe it will pick up for you. Anyway, cheers! |
