Reviews For Summer Camp with Snape
Author's Response: haha thanks glad you like it! and don't worry I will update it will just take some time.
Author's Response: thank you for reviewing! I'm so glad you like the story and the way I'm writing Harry. I think 5th and 6th year (but particularly 5th) year Harry is rather angsty/emotional, so I'm trying to capture that along with considering how he would handle this new development. Also, you bring up a good point about the camp staff. I wanted Harry to struggle like this, and I have a couple ideas for why the camp staff is not really involved with him directly (although he is learning plenty of lessons he needs to know - how to learn new magic now, how to speechread, sign language, etc.), but they have not fully coalesced yet. So we'll see! Thanks for reading!
Author's Response: Yay I'm so glad you like it! Just please don't take things portrayed here as fact -- I'm trying to be accurate, but I'm no expert. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Author's Response: Yay I'm so glad you like it so much! I quite enjoy this story so I don't expect I'll abandon it, it just might take me a bit to update.
Author's Response: I'm so glad you liked it and are looking forward to more! Honestly, I kind of am too -- I'm excited to see how my plans turn out! Thanks for reviewing!
I hope you will have time to update. Author's Response: haha thanks for reviewing! I believe a lot of the things you are curious about will come out in time. Some of them are planned for the sequel (this first story I don't expect to be too long, less than ten chapters but more than five), and some of them may turn out not to be important. We'll both have to see what ends up coming out!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for reviewing! Harry is definitely not particularly happy right now -- he is grieving Sirius' death but has not really had any time to really do so, he is dealing with a sudden hearing loss, he has just finished off an evil dark wizard who's been after him his whole life... he's got quite a lot he's dealing with. So he's definitely having his moments, as you saw in this chapter. But he is not going to sink into a deep, clinical depression, if that's what you're looking for. Hopefully that's not disappointing.
I think that Harry is beginning to be accepted though, with his cabin mates. Great job. Can't wait for the next chapter.. Author's Response: So happy you like it! It is a very big adjustment, as you can see, and he's only had about 3 weeks to get used to it so far, which is really not must time in the grand scheme of things. Snape and Harry have a ways to go yet, but they are definitely starting to get there. And Harry and his cabinmates are definitely starting to get along, I quite enjoy writing some of their interactions. Thanks for reviewing!
I love this story SO much. I wonder why sean was looking searchingly at Harry about the boggart. I am loving the development between Harry and his cabin mates. Author's Response: Ah I'm so glad you like it so much! Wow, so encouraging!!! Don't read too much into Sean's look, just know that he thought something seemed somewhat strange. There will likely be a bit more on it, but I don't want you to get too excited about some huge thing when it's really fairly small. And I'm glad you like the development between Harry and his cabin mates; I have been trying to develop their relationships and characters adequately but without making that a huge tangent in the story.
Author's Response: Thank you, I'm so happy to hear you like this chapter so much! Wow, it's your favorite so far! I put a lot of thought into how this chapter would go, and it came out pretty far from how I originally intended, so it's good to hear you like it!! |
