    I think the way you are comparing and contrasting Snape and harry's lives with such jarring scene changes really drives home the point Lily is trying to make.

    Harry coping with the pain of his connection to Voldy due (in part) to Snape's abuse is powerful and heart wrenching. There isn't a lot to be said really other than acknowledging that it didn't have to be this way and that is rests mostly with Snape's actions - and inaction's in this case.

    well done, can't wait for more!

    I'm enjoying the way you are alternating between the realities. Showing Severus what Harry is currently going through should get his attention and make him come up with some alternate way of teaching Harry. With that kind of pain, Harry should be motivated to learn. The other reality should be interesting and I'm looking forward to more.
