I like the way Alex approached Hermione. He has to miss his friends and she is undoubtedly lonely. The fact that their study group includes members of different houses is a nice idea.

At least Remus seems like he will be decent to Alex/Harry. Too bad that Sirius will be in the castle, too. He doesn't seem likely to cut Harry any breaks.
Author's Response: Sirius does not have a prominent role in this story, as Remus. They are kind of lingering in the background because it was a logical conclusion of the torture and voldy coming back that this story arch had to be resolved as well. but yeah, remus is the resonable one, always. but you'll notice he was friendly and polite but not very warm and welcoming, for him as well the mystery 'harry potter' has kind of lost its charm due to his changed parentage
Harry has been doing a lot of dreaming. I wonder if it is a side effect of the Occlumency or if he is mentally dealing with his problems?
Author's Response: ah the dreaming! finally someone caught up on that ;) it's going to be a major plotline, so stay excited!
That was a surprise. I wonder where the Weasleys are? Looking forward to finding out what happens next.
Author's Response: the weasleys were simply sleeping peacefully. the whole situation happened in under 2 minutes even if i explained it quite thoroughly. they will be finding nothing more than harrys backpack in their living room...
I'm surprised that Harry was foolish enough to take something given to him by a kid he didn't really know. Especially in Knockturn Alley. Snape is going to have his work cut out for him.
Author's Response: I've had this question about harry being stupid before. in the last chapter there is a half way explanation for this. But really, Harry mistrusts adults, kids not so much. and he is a 12/13year old without any adult guidance - curiosity plays a big part in this as well! don't forget, he's been through a lot and is still experiencing the after effects, so once he took it, there was almost no way back
So Severus has accepted that Harry has a rotten childhood and is getting along better with him. That can only be to Harry's benefit. Too bad Snape couldn't convince Dumbledore to let Harry stay somewhere else for the summer.
Author's Response: This chapter was a bit of a bridge between... well two explosions really ;) but it was very important to build a kind of relationship between them
That is an interesting twist. Voldemort will be returning earlier here from the sound of it. I'm looking forward to finding out where this goes. Thanks for listing the challenges you took on. It's nice to be able to see exactly what they were.

Author's Response: Yeah, Sirius doesn't come off good in this story... But I wanted to stay true to his character and without ever having met Harry, he is only James' son to him - and if he isn't that, he is the personification of Lily's "betrayal" But I'm glad you liked the chapter
My challenge got used! Awesome! I love this chapter. So are Harry and Sev going to continue to grow closer? What will happen when school starts?
