This story keeps making me cry. It's so good. I like how you really understand and explain their thoughts and motives and everything. It makes it realistic and really brings it all to life!

Author's Response: Yes, I imagine there will be lots of apologies. It seems Harry's style. Not quite sure though, perhaps Harry will leave it alone and let Snape's "not-quite-acceptance" of the apology eat at him.

Author's Response: It went through a lot of drafts, yes, so in that sense it was difficult.
I think this hurt me mentally as much as it did Harry physically AND mentally.

Thank you a very emotionally charged chapter
Harry was distraught when he thought Severus died. I wonder if it had occurred to him that Snape would feel the same about Harry dying? Though it sounded like he was in too much pain to think of that at the time.
Author's Response: Yeah, he probably didn't think of it. If he had, Harry would have dismissed the thought that Severus couldn't love him the same the way he loves Severus. Harry would imagine that Snape might be sad for awhile, but would ultimately be just fine. He sees Snape as being strong and independent, and why would Snape *need* him, Harry, in his life, if he's so strong and independent? Severus' reaction to Harry's near death is meant to show just how not strong and independent he can be when he's "crutches" are taken away. Currently, his crutch is Harry, and he doesn't quite realize that yet.
