Oh wow. Powerful chapter. I appreciated Snape's openness and honesty. Great descriptions and narration in this chapter. Thanks so much for the update!
Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed it! Snape didn't have much choice; there was very little other explanation he could give without opening it up to a barrage of other questions about some sort of lie. "You had a dog? Why did you name your dog that? Were you cruel to the dog? Didn't you like the dog?" Etc, etc.

U r wonderful i m excited for next updte
I'm enjoying this story so far :)
Nice first chapter. You did a good job describing Spinner's End. No wonder Snape was hesitant about having Harry stay with him rather than at Hogwarts. I can see why Severus hasn't put too much time and effort into the house. If it is in a bad area, any visable renovations might attract burglars. Still, Harry may be able to do a bit of cleaning and fixing up during the summer. He got enough practice at the Dursleys.'
Author's Response: There's that point about renovating the house, and also the house is meant to reflect Snape's mental state. And just as Harry fixes up the house a bit, he'll also be helping Snape heal mentally as well. :)
