This is going straight to my favourites. Author's Response: LOVING IT!!! And I really need to credit Jan_AQ for planting the seed for the plot with her Challenge. Snape as Marge's boyfriend is something I probably would never have come up with on my own! But once I managed to wrap my mind around her idea (and believe me, that took some sincere EFFORT), I had a blast writing the story! Author's Response: SYMPATHY! Toward MARGE???!!!!! Oh, my! You're too good! I wanted her to get what she more than deserved! But I suppose each individual reader gets something different from the same piece of writing -- my fiction writing classes in college opened my eyes to that fascinating aspect. I guess I assumed dislike of Marge Dursleys was sufficiently universal that everyone would be on the same page... You're truly one in a million! Readers like you truly make writing worthwhile!!! Author's Response: Wards can be notoriously fickle... But as long as they haven't fallen completely, Harry will have a strategy to keep them in place. And tho' #4 Privet Drive can feel like hell on earth, in Harry's case, better the frying pan than the fire! Thanks for reading and reviewing! 😊
Author's Response: Harry didn't quite get Snape's subtle praise, did he! He probably assumed Snape was deliberately overlooking all of Harry's efforts by heaping compliments onto Petunia -- it's what the Potions Master would have done at Hogwarts. But Mr. Lawrence is cut from a different bolt of fabric -- his dove-gray personality can unbend a bit, to give credit where it's due, even if said credit flies over Harry's head! Author's Response: Ripper!!! I'm a cat person at heart, tho' I was raised with dogs, but we had good doggies, not vicious little fiends! Still, dogs are dogs... The "brown tornado" was based on two of our dogs, Roy (who spun silently) and Hamlet (who growled while whirling!). And I learned to beware of a friend's dog, Peanut, who repeatedly wet down my leg! Ugh. I'm SO much a cat person! Glad you liked this chapter! Thank you for reading and reviewing!
Author's Response: At first, I couldn't even imagine HIM as HER boyfriend... But once the challenge prompt entered my brain, it kept niggling and niggling. Then it hit me! It was just make-believe! And THEN I set out to have FUN!!! And yes, the Harry-Dudley rapport added so much to the overall situation -- hee! Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Author's Response: So sorry to have taken almost three years to respond to your review--but I truly do appreciate my readers' feedback! 😊 The concept for "Marge's Boyfriend" originated with Jan_AQ, from her challenge by the same title. I don't think anyone else has answered her challenge (yet), but once I managed to wrap my mind around the idea (which took some doing, believe me!!!), I just ran with it, and I had a blast writing the scenes!
