I'm surprised that Snape is so squeamish. As a potions master, he had to prepare all kinds of disgusting things so I would think the surgery and what it involves would not affect him so much.
Author's Response: Thanks for the reviews! If you read the next chapter, Snape’s ”squeamishness” will be at least partly addressed. Yes, he handles potions ingredients, but we do not know if he particularly enjoys it, do we? And in my experience there is a huge difference between cutting the entrails of a dead animal, and cutting in a live human being… People are different in that aspect - some absolutely shun the idea and become nauseous, others find it fascinating, and in my experience the squeamish ones are not always the ones you would guess from the start…
