Reviews For Unfamiliar Familiar
Author's Response: Thanks! The pace of attitude changes is always a tricky one. Feedback is definitely helpful. I doubt Erebus has much else to do. Two years of sitting in on every single potions class from 1-7th has got to make some kind of an impact.
Author's Response: Teaching a parrot manners, especially about food, is quite often an exercise in futility. I think Snape will be happy as long as Erebus learns not to mess with his food, leaving the bird free to annoy everybody else.
Author's Response: A friend of mine first showed me the picture of a palm cockatoo. She said dubbed it Sauron's Apprentice. It seemed like it had an appropriate exterior for being paired with Snape while at the same time a way more outgoing personality than the reserved professor. A recipe for fun!
Author's Response: Hmmm...I wonder if our (not so) little bird has a bit of a hero complex... :)
Author's Response: Toddlers that can fly and that will never, ever grow up. It takes a special kind of person to keep a large parrot and treat it well. I award 10 points to Snape for doing such a good job of it.
Author's Response: Birds are just so fun! (Although they're normally much more trying to have as a pet than I'm letting on...but really who wants to read chapter upon chapter of Erebus randomly screaming not because he's annoyed or upset but because making noise is fun! Or the temper tantrums when they get bored or upset by something that you didn't even perceive... As for Dumbledore being sketchy... *grins* maaaaaybe. Or maybe Snape is being overly paranoid.
Author's Response: 3rd year sound good to you? I think we can keep him hidden that long. After Pettigrew is discovered Dumbledore insists for safety that every familiar be submitted to the anigmagus revealing spell. He asks Snape to show willing by going first. So then, in front of the entire school.... Absolute chaos! Okay, so yeah, that's not how it's going to happen. But it might make for a fun alternative plotline, don't you think?
I love this story and can't wait for more. Author's Response: I admit, I hadn't planned for that, but as I was writing it just happened. I'm glad you liked it.
I love Familar Harry story and I like how Snape is in character in your story. Looking forward for more. Be careful when (if ?) you reveal that Harry is Erebus as it is often a letdown in the stories I read. Thank you for sharing your story with us :) Author's Response: I shall try not to disappoint. |
